Have you heard that croissants in Paris have 0 calories? :)
Jokes aside, there's something magical of savouring that first morning bite of your freshly-baked pastry in Paris which even local Parisians enjoy as a daily routine. Whether you're seated at a charming cafe t with a view or strolling along cobblestone streets, the atmosphere & smell are pure bliss. But to fully enjoy the real taste, you’ve got to know where to find the best spots with wide range.
So what's your pick of the day: buttery croissant or crispy éclair?
Bon appétit! 🥐✨

Often neglected, or even little known, museum terraces are a good option for lunch or a coffee far from the hustle and bustle
of the city. And what could be better than a little moment of relaxation between two visits among the works?
If you plan to visit the City of Lights soon, think about it 😉

Visit Paris differently through the unique route of the 42.195km Paris Marathon which will take place on August 10 and 11. In this guide, you will have all the steps to follow to visit Paris differently and experience the same ordeal as the athletes.
Discover the official route from the departure at the Paris Hotel de Ville (the City Hall) and the arrival at Esplanade des Invalides.
If you want to venture beyond the center of Paris, the official route crosses 9 cities :
PARIS, BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT,
SÈVRES, VILLE D'AVRAY, VERSAILLES,
VIROFLAY, CHAVILLE, MEUDON,
and ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX.
A little history on this historic journey : to trace the route of the Olympic marathon, the organisation made the choice strong to be inspired by the "Women's March" of October 1789, one of the founding events from today's France.
The Olympic marathon draws its energy and her inspiration in the women's march, one of the great collective fighters who
shaped the history and values of France contemporary.
On October 5 and 6, 1789, merchants from the Hall, shopkeepers and workers from the suburbs popular gathering in front of the Hôtel de City in Paris to demand bread and weapons. Between 6,000 and 7,000 Parisians, joined by the men cross Paris to go to Versailles and bring the king back to the Tuileries. This that day, Louis XVI finally agreed to ratify the
universal declaration of human rights and
of the Citizen.

Active volcanoes. Dancing northern lights. Gushing geysers. Massive glaciers. Thermal hot springs. Thundering waterfalls. Iceland is the ultimate adventure destination. How have you not been here yet? It’s finally time. Start in the northernmost capital in the world. Reykjavik is a hip, modern city. Then start exploring the wild coastline, the sheep-filled countryside, the icy interior, and the peaceful islands. There are plenty of black-sand beaches, small fishing villages, turf-roofed houses, and epic hikes along the way. Just remember to pack layers. Sometimes, the Gulf Stream provides moderate temperatures. Other times, it’ll feel like you’re in the Arctic. Also don’t forget the long, dark winters and the 24-hour daylight during the short summers. If you take advantage of Icelandair’s free stopover program—a great excuse to visit Helsinki, Copenhagen, and even Paris—you can keep returning to discover which season you like best.

If you're looking for a city escape to live your European Summer dream, you've come to the right place! This is my 100% honest opinion of my 10 favorite European cities to visit in Summer.
I see lots and lots of guides out there suggesting Paris (hello, has someone heard of the Olympic Games taking place?), Madrid (if you love 45° weather I guess) or Lisbon (great choice if you want to be 1 or 100 000 tourists). While these are all great destinations year-round, I don't think Summer is the right season to visit them. Personally, I'd go there in Spring or Autumn, not during the high season.
Full disclosure, this is a no Greece, no Italy guide. You'll only find cities that I love, and I think are worth going to discover if you're looking for a short city-escape this Summer.
