Some terraces to take a break in Paris
At the Petit Palais (8th)
The Petit Palais café-restaurant offers a contemporary and warm decor, opening onto the interior garden. In fine weather, you can enjoy its terrace, sheltered under a peristyle decorated with mosaics and paintings.
At the Museum of Romantic Life ( in the 9th )
It is in the middle of the afternoon that the garden of the Museum of Romantic Life shows its most beautiful face. The terrace of the Rose Bakery tea room regains the tranquility that suits it so well. The long tree-lined driveway leading to the museum forms an effective barrier against street noise. And we can imagine ourselves as George Sand, who was one of the most frequent guests of the house, during tea time.
At the Maison de Balzac ( 16th )
A coffee, a treat and reading on the terrace, with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower: this is the experience offered by the Rose Bakery café , located in the garden of the Maison de Balzac.
At the Palais Galliera ( 16th )
At the Rodin Museum ( 7th)
At the Palais de la Porte-Dorée ( 12th )
Poisson Lune welcomes everyone for moments of relaxation or discovery to savor the sunny days, to the rhythm of a program that mixes well-being and culture. A space reserved for young people, both cozy and full of surprises, offers free access to games. The food trucks, the bar and the children's area are waiting for you!
At the Bourdelle museum ( 15th )
Decorated with reliefs and busts of Antoine Bourdelle, the terrace of the homonymous restaurant is an integral part of the museum visit. Likewise, the main room is part of the history of the Bourdelle family: the decor was designed by decorator Michel Dufet, an Art Deco figure, after his marriage in 1947 to Bourdelle's daughter.
At the House of Victor Hugo (Paris Center)
This adorable garden café-restaurant is now nestled in another historic district of Paris, Place des Vosges, in the heart of the Marais, and in a place of culture: the Maison de Victor Hugo.
At the Cartier Foundation ( 14th )
The garden of the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art is neither an English-style park, nor a French-style garden, nor even a sculpture park. It was originally a work commissioned from the artist Lothar Baumgarten. It takes its name, Theatrum Botanicum, from the books in which monks inventoried medicinal and aromatic plants in the Middle Ages. From May to November, we go to our refreshment bar!
At the Museum of Modern Art ( 16th )
Since May 2021, Forest has been installed on one of the most beautiful terraces in Paris, that of the upper square of the Paris Museum of Modern Art. Every day, the walls of the restaurant come alive with a 2.0 moving plant fresco.
Welcome to a psyche-digital forest!
At the Cluny museum ( 5th )
Located at the heart of the tour route, Le Café des Amis now offers a gourmet break, in a medieval aesthetic tinged with contemporary touches: more than a café, it's an experience!
At the Montmartre museum ( 18th )
Café Renoir is the perfect place to meet up and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its glass roof, decorated in the spirit of a winter garden, opens onto the delightful Renoir gardens. We sit around a coffee, a light lunch or a snack. We savor every second spent on this green terrace where time seems to stand still...
At the Picasso Museum (Paris Center)
The staircase and its iridescent aluminum ribbon guide visitors to a café space perched on the 1st floor of the Picasso museum. This self-service coffee area is a break in a pleasant setting. You can sit inside or on the terrace, a magnificent rooftop which allows you to enjoy a “suspended” break, with a view of the sumptuous facade of the Hôtel Salé.
At the Quai Branly Museum ( 7th )
In a contemporary, transparent setting, with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, Café Jacques is there for a break throughout the day. In fine weather, you can enjoy its terrace in the heart of the garden designed by Gilles Clément.
At the Palais de Tokyo ( 16th )
Monsieur Bleu is the ideal space for lunch, dinner, chatting or even dancing under the impressive ceiling height of its Art Deco room and, on sunny days, on its terrace. A place where you can also eat, party, seduce, read and more if you like, the restaurant vibrates to the rhythm of creation.
At the Pompidou Center (Paris Center)
Installed on the roof of the Center Pompidou, Georges enjoys an exceptional view of Paris. For a drink, a lunch or an evening, we enjoy a cocktail at the bar, we sit with friends on the terrace, we taste healthy and gourmet cuisine, we enjoy the Parisian sunset and we party to the sounds of DJ sets. With its huge bay windows and its beautiful volumes with a contemporary and refined design, the Restaurant evolves over the hours according to the light and the seasons: it is good to live in the clouds!
At the Louvre Museum (Paris Center)
Having a cold drink facing the Louvre pyramid is what Café Mollien offers. Located on the 1st floor of the Denon wing, the place opens onto this magnificent terrace overlooking the Cour Napoléon and the Carrousel garden.
