Taiwan has a varied topography, ranging from plains, basins, and hills to coastlines. It is especially rich in mountain and forest resources. Its mountainous areas cover about 73.64% of the area, and alpine regions with altitudes above 1,000 meters account for 46.73%. This small island has seven mountain ranges, including Jade Mountain, the highest peak in East Asia. Therefore, the government has built many beautiful and unique trails for tourists to go and learn about the importance of ecological conservation and get close to nature.
On the basis of these forest activities, this guide lists popular trails in Taiwan that beginners can easily access to the mountains and forests for your reference. Each trail is suitable for those who love nature, want to get away from the hustle and bustle, and love hiking.
Before reading the guide, I would like to add that since most of the trails are in the suburbs, you need to drive there. If you do not have a car, the guide also lists trails that can be reached by public transportation to meet different needs. Please evaluate your needs when planning your itinerary.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask 😁

California Gold Country holds an incredible amount of history, beautiful outdoor activities, alpine lakes, hiking, food, wine, & more. In my opinion, this section of Highway 49 is the best road trip in the West. The entire 49 is amazing, but in case you're short on time, this guide focuses on my favorite section of it.
This guide holds everything you need for a 3-5 day trip in this region. It includes information on hikes, swimming spots, small towns, wine, food, history, accommodation, camping, and more. That amount of time will leave you space to have at least one full outdoors day, one full wine & food day, and some other activities in between.
It's a great trip for someone like me who likes getting dirty & spending time outside and in the backcountry, but also likes really good food and some of the best wine California has to offer. There's something for everyone on this trip. You can walk on a dirt trail for an hour and a half, see wildflowers, swim, go wine tasting, learn about history, and more.
This trip can be done any time of year. If you visit in the winter, you may want to sub out some skiing for swimming & some of the hikes might be inaccessible without snowshoes or XC skis. If you go in the middle of summer, it will be hot at lower elevations, but still amazing. Spring will give you some incredible wildflowers.
This area is less frequented & should be appreciated. It's a great trip if you're looking to escape the crowds. This trip can easily be done as an add-on to Lake Tahoe or Sacramento.
Use this guide as a set itinerary, or draw from it to create your own trip!

Cenotes are one of the main attractions of Yucatan; there isn't anything like them anywhere else. These underground caves filled with water are a must for all those who wish to visit this Mexican state; however, deciding which cenote to visit is a hard task having so many of them (estimated upwards of 7,000!).
I grew up in Yucatan, where "cenotear", visiting cenotes for a day during the weekend, was a common activity to spend my free time. During that time, I have visited more cenotes than I can count; this guide provides a list of the cenotes I recommend visiting.
The list is divided into two different parts: cenotes to visit from Merida and cenotes to visit from Valladolid. Regardless of that distinction, you can choose to visit cenotes listed among those closer to either city. I have done so plenty of times from Merida.
Additionally, the guide includes my recommendations and a few tips for visiting cenotes.

Our number one recommendation for where to stay in Switzerland is Bern. Bern’s old town is set in the crook of the river Aare and is filled with beautiful medieval and gothic architecture. This historic city is easily accessible and walkable as most of the sites are available to visit any time of day. Bern’s proximity to neighboring towns also makes it easy to take day trips to popular towns like Lucerne and Interlaken.
Included in this guide:
*Where to stay (4 options)
*Itinerary of Old Town's Top Tourist Spots (6 recommendations)
*Outdoor Markets (6 recommendations)
*How to get around (Walking, Rental, Buses and Streetcars, Trains)

Carrick on Shannon is Irish for Cora Drama Rúisc, which means “weir of the marshy ridge.” This is the county town of County Leitrim and though it’s the smallest county town in all of Ireland, it’s actually the largest town in the county of Leitrim. Even so, there are plenty of things to do in Carrick on Shannon.

The ocean colors along this coast are worth the trip on their own, but Nice has so much more to offer! Besides being a perfect base to explore the Côte d’Azur, there’s a lot in the city deserving your attention.
In this guide, I'm sharing all the favorite spots and helpful tips I gathered from the times I visited Nice. If we exclude day trips, these activities can easily fit into a weekend getaway. But you’ll probably want to spend more time in Nice to allow you to explore other towns and beaches nearby.
This guide also includes updated information about public transportation. The system changed in July 2023, just a few days before I visited Nice for the second time, and even locals were having a hard time figuring it out.
