Hot springs are one of Taiwan's characteristics. Due to Taiwan's special geological structure, located in the Ring of Fire, geothermal heat spreads throughout the country. Overall, there are 128 hot springs with signs; that is to say, traces of hot springs can be noticed in almost every city on the island.
