Provence bursts into fragrant purple splendour every summer, bringing visitors from all over the world to its iconic lavender fields.
While the Provence lavender fields are the star attraction in summer, there is plenty to experience in the region. There are scenic rolling hills with picturesque French villages overlooking the valley. Take in the views of endless rows of lavender, as well as sunflowers, olive groves and wheat. Explore generational-old distilleries and learn more about how the lavender essential oils are produced. Buy local lavender inspired products and taste the many ways lavender can be incorporated into food. For a touch of festivity, many towns around the region celebrate the lavender season with lively lavender festivals. Its a perfect destination for a family day out, including your dog, as most farms and fields are dog friendly.
Wondering when and where to go for the best lavender views in Provence? My detailed guides below will help you discover the best spots in:
- the Luberon Valley
- Valensole Plateau
- the Sault Plateau
Bonus content:

When I say the word “Gettysburg,” what’s the very first thing that comes to mind? I’d be willing to wager that for around 95% of you, you’d say “the battlefield.”
And indeed, the battlefield is a big part of Gettysburg—over 6,000 acres to be exact. However, this charming destination has SO MUCH to offer that goes far beyond the battlefield. It remains one of my favorite mid-Atlantic weekend trips.
This guide aims to hit all of Gettysburg’s historical highlights, while also taking you on some unexpected turns as well.
In this itinerary you'll find:
🍎 Local Farms and Markets
🚲 Fun Activities
🍽️ Restaurant Recommendations
🏛️ Top Historical Sights
🏨 My Top Hotel Picks
---and more---
Time needed: 24-48 hours
(you can hand-pick your favorites for a day trip, or stay the night and hit everything)
Best time to visit: Year round, but April through November is particularly nice
Best suited for: Couples, Girlfriend Getaway, Families, Friends, Solo Travelers
I know you are going to LOVE this Gettysburg Getaway!

Jam packed one-day Itenerary for Suwon, made specially for people who want to experience everything about Korea in a short period of time. Family and friend group friendly inclusive for all ages. If Everland is on your list, I suggest visiting Suwon & spending a day here before Everland (closer too).
Sightseeing and activity focused, I've included starfield mall but don't go hard out on the shopping because then you'll have to carry all your stuff for the rest of the day!
I given several recommendations for food so you can choose your self! Naver map & insta links included. Detailed notes, especially for some places/menus!

What makes a sightseeing tour fun? Especially when kids are around? Conventional tour buses are okay, but I rather try to find alternative ways to explore a city. For this, I have an amazing idea. 🤩
Budapest has been conquered by mini sculptures made by Mihály Kolodko - a Ukrainian sculptor, who moved to Budapest in 2017. These mini sculptures are mostly made out of metal & after installation, he usually posts only a photo (maybe a hint) on socials, about the location of the new addition.
IMAGINE a family approved sightseeing tour in Budapest, where the small child(ren) can play ’treasure hunt’ searching for these art installations, 🕵🏼 while the whole family gets a unique glimpse of Budapest’s city center. Personally, I love unique ideas & for me it would be a perfect alternative approach for a traditional sightseeing tour.

My husband and I did the Peace Corps in Panama. We were sent to the Bocas Del Toro region far from Panama City, but we visited the city frequently. Another Peace Corps volunteer, who we are really good friends with, met up with us in Panama City in 2023 for a reunion of sorts. She has lived in Panama City with her husband and kids for over 11 years. We talked about the many things to see and do in the city and she helped me write this guidebook.
Included in the guide are:
🏔️ - Honest Opinions of Top Attractions
👨👩👦👦 - Family-Friendly Activities
🏝️ - Day or Overnight Trips near the City
🍽️ - Restaurant and Bar Recommendations
🏨 - Places to Stay

Often referred to as the "Venice of the Alps", Annecy is a charming town in south-eastern France.
Set amidst the Aravis mountain range and bordered by crystal-clear Lake Annecy, Annecy offers a beautiful blend of nature, history and culture ✨
Whether you are on a solo trip, girl trip, romantic trip or family trip, this weekend itinerary is the one you need to make the most of your time in Annecy!
Plus, I'll share my favorite place to eat, spots to see the sunset, and some little-known anecdotes to impress in front of anyone -haha.
Annecy is just as beautiful in winter, spring and autumn as it is in summer! In winter enjoy its Christmas Market, in spring the Venetian Carnival and in summer y a delicious ice cream and boat tour 🍦🛥️

If you are looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten path Caribbean destination, look no further than Roatan, Honduras. Located 40 miles off the northern coast of mainland Honduras, the island of Roatan offers a wide variety of activities, beautiful beaches, and delicious food. My first visit to Roatan was with a group of friends and family in March 2018. I loved the island so much, I returned solo a few months later. And, my group of girlfriends & I have decided that's where we will celebrate our 50th in 2024!
If this guide was helpful and you'd be interested to see more like this in the future, please let me know in the comments below! Thanks for supporting my work! 🫶🏻💙

3 separate families including 6 parents and 8 teenage children embark on a trip of a lifetime to exotic Thailand for two weeks. Will amazing food be eaten? Amazing sights seen? Will drama ensue?
This itinerary purposely has us staying in each spot for a minimum of 3 days so as to minimize travel hassles etc. To us it was a great Thailand 101 and there were lots of activities to keep us busy and also good chill time.
If we had extra time and more ability to move around we would add Koh Samui and Angkor Watt in Cambodia to the itinerary.
This itinerary includes where to stay and eat and what to do. Hotels in this itinerary are upper tier, not quite luxury (with the exception of Bankgok) but still very nice.
