Often referred to as the "Venice of the Alps", Annecy is a charming town in south-eastern France. Set amidst the Aravis mountain range and bordered by crystal-clear Lake Annecy, Annecy offers a beautiful blend of nature, history and culture ✨ Whether you are on a solo trip, girl trip, romantic trip or family trip, this weekend itinerary is the one you need to make the most of your time in Annecy! Plus, I'll share my favorite place to eat, spots to see the sunset, and some little-known anecdotes to impress in front of anyone -haha. Weekend trip to Annecy

DAY 1: Discovering the Old Town and Lake

☕️ Morning

- First thing first, breakfast "à la française".

I recommend letting your nose lead you to a delicious bakery where you can savor a "croissant", "pain au chocolat", or the local specialty, "la croix de Savoie"!

- Get lost in the old town, wander through its streets admiring the pastel-colored houses, and the charming canals. Annecy is all about embracing the moment and letting yourself go.

Do not miss:

🌊 Afternoon

- Rent a Segway or a bike and go all around the lake

💡 Lake Annecy is known for its exceptionally clear water, which is some of the purest in Europe. This is thanks to strict environmental regulations and natural filtration through alpine springs. The lake was formed around 18,000 years ago from large alpine glaciers.

- Trough the tour you'll see the lake and its surroundings, gardens and you'll go to the most touristic place : the Lover’s Bridge ❤️

💡Pont des Amours, or Lover’s Bridge, is a picturesque spot with a romantic legend. It's said that couples who kiss on this bridge will stay together forever. Whether you believe in the legend or not, it's a lovely spot for a photo with stunning views of the lake and mountains.
