The town of Cala Gonone is a gem right at the heart of the Gulf of Orosei, known for its stunning coastline and marvelous, wild beaches. The most famous ones are accessible only by boat or dinghy, services that should be booked early in advance due to the high demand. ⚓️🌊 But what if you are looking for a more spontaneous solution, where you can just walk or drive for a few minutes and enjoy the cristal-clear Sardinian sea and beaches for free? 🏖🏃🏻‍♀️🚘 With this free map I would like to help you with my best recommendations as a local person to discover the beaches in Cala Gonone, for which you do not need a boat or dinghy to get to. For each spot, you will find detailed notes, pics and videos that I took! 📸🌅 A little tip: as we are located in the Eastern coast of the island, you can admire the dawn on the sea early in the morning! 🌅 ⚠️ You won't always find: public transport, toilets / showes, trash bins, and beach loungers / sun umbrellas. Bars and food trucks are normally located outside of the beaches. There are no taxi services (Uber, Bolt, yellow cabs...) in Cala Gonone and Dorgali. Don't forget to save this map 💾 to enjoy your adventures in Sardinia! 🗺 Map with recommendations ⏳ ca. 3-4 days 📍 Cala Gonone, Sardinia, Italy 💰 Low-budget 🛞 By foot and by car 🎒 Nature lovers, families, groups, couples, solo travelers

There are secret islands in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. Nine of them, actually. The Azores are an autonomous region of Portugal, even though they're nearly 900 miles off the coast of Lisbon. Mount Pico, on the island of Pico, is actually the highest point in the European country. The volcanic archipelago is covered with farmland. Small fishing communities line the coasts. Travelers were first introduced to the remote islands when they became a refueling stop for flights between Europe and North America. Direct flights from Boston and New York eventually followed. The Azores are finally being discovered by North Americans without Portuguese heritage. It's about time. Ponta Delgada, the little capital, mixes historic buildings with modern hotels and restaurants. São Miguel, the main island, is full of hiking trails and hot springs. Pico Island is famous for its wine. While seven other islands are just waiting to be explored. With mild climate, thanks to the jet stream, the Azores are a year-round destination. Go before the secret gets out. This detailed guide includes: Places: islands, cities, neighborhoods, towns, hidden villages Stay: hotels Eat: bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream stands, pizzerias, restaurants, teahouses Drink: beach bars, rooftop bars, tapas bars, wineries Do: abandoned hotels, aqueducts, bamboo groves, beaches, botanical gardens, bridges, chapels, churches, fountains, fumaroles, gardens, gates, hikes, lakes, marinas, mountains, natural swimming pools, nature preserves, public parks, roads, sculptures, squares, statues, tourist offices, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, viewpoints, windmills Transportation: airports, car rentals, ferries, parking lots

Dearest Gentle Reader, It is with the greatest pleasure that I invite you on an enchanting journey through the most sparkling locales that our beloved England has to offer. Prepare yourself for a tour de force that shall transport you into the very heart of the Regency (and Victorian) era, an experience meticulously curated to delight and dazzle even the most discerning of travelers. Our grand adventure commences with a two-day guide galavanting through the illustrious city of London. There you shall meander through the hallowed halls, lush gardens, royal palaces, and more, much akin to the grand ballrooms and picturesque parks that set the stage for many a dramatic encounter. From there, we shall whisk you away to the quaint yet opulent city of Bath. Here, you will bask in the elegance of the Roman Baths and promenade through the grandiose Assembly Rooms, where one might imagine the whispers of courtship and intrigue still linger in the air. Next, the venerable seat of academia, Oxford, awaits your presence. You shall wander its cobblestone streets and explore its ancient colleges, each corner offering a glimpse into the storied past and romantic escapades worthy of our beloved series. As part of your visit, we will provide exclusive entry into an Oxford Ball, a soiree where you shall need your finest attire to mingle with the crème de la crème of society. Our journey shall culminate in the idyllic Cotswolds, a tapestry of rolling hills and charming villages that promise an immersion in bucolic splendor. You shall visit the acclaimed Blenheim Palace and take in the serene beauty of the English countryside, feeling every bit the lord or lady of the manor. With every step, you will trace the footsteps of our most beloved characters, visiting the very places where their stories unfolded. Embark on an unforgettable journey through Bali, where you'll be captivated by its pristine beaches, jungle waterfalls, volcano views, lush rice fields, and vibrant cultures - a genuine paradise for adventurous souls. After spending several months in Bali, I can say that there is something for everyone, as it offers a variety of activities! Whether you want to relax, party all night long, or explore the island, Bali truly has it all! The best time to visit Bali is between April and October, the island's dry season. Your budget has to take into consideration whether you move around the island with a driver or by renting motorbikes. Renting motorbikes allows for greater flexibility in exploring more places, which is particularly advantageous if your time on the island is limited. Cars can get stuck in traffic, wasting valuable time. If you choose to ride, ensure you wear helmets and carry your international driver's license to avoid fines. Here are three rules to ensure you enjoy your Bali trip to the fullest: 1. Always Bargain: Whether you're shopping at markets or hiring services, bargaining is a common practice in Bali. It's a fun way to engage with locals and often results in getting a better deal. 2. Explore Beyond Tourist Attractions: To experience the authentic Bali, avoid relying solely on mainstream travel guides. Instead of googling "what to see in Bali," consider exploring lesser-known spots recommended by locals or venturing off the beaten path. 3. Carry a Sarong: A sarong is not just a piece of clothing in Bali; it's a versatile accessory. You'll need it for visiting temples, as it's a sign of respect to cover your legs, and it can also serve as a beach towel or a makeshift blanket during your adventures. Always have one handy to respect local customs and stay comfortable throughout your journey. The itinerary provides detailed travel information on specific locations, including Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu and Uluwatu, and recommended day trips to other surrounding areas and nearby islands. Here's a preview of what awaits you in my Ultimate Bali Travel Guide!
