***This is not your mainstream guide for the island. *** It is created through my own 4 day trip to Santorini, where all I had in mind was that I truly wanted to enjoy this beautiful place. For me, getting a true essence of the island through its culture, nature and food. Equally important was to be comfortable and in the moment without caring about the "hot" places to be or the instagramable pictures. I wanted to be a traveler not a tourist. So lets begin!

We loved Lagos! Lagos felt like the perfect mix of authentic culture and also was touristy enough to keep us very entertained! It was wonderful to be able to walk to so many beaches, and hiking along the coast was one of our favorite things we did during this trip.
We loved the food and the kindness of all of the people we met. Even the streets in Lagos were creative and decorative.
The great thing about this area is that if you have a car you can access SO MUCH within an hour of Lagos. I will not list anything in this guide that is beyond an hour.
MOST things in this guide you can do entirely without a car, but I will list some things in which a car will be required. I will split the guide into two sections.. with and without car. Believe me there is PLENTY to do here either way!
This guide will include all of the things we did while in Lagos. It will include our favorite beaches, places to eat, and things to do. It will also include things I would LOVE to do if we had more time in this beautiful town!

Beer lovers — this one’s for you. Want to try delicious Dutch brews and get to know this one of a kind city in the process?
Amsterdam is a special place: a bucket-list destination renowned for its charming canalside homes, endless entertainment, and plethora of world-class museums. The city is also home to some seriously badass breweries and beer halls. Oft overshadowed by its historically famed neighbors, Belgium and Germany, beer in the Netherlands deserves more attention.
In this guide, you’ll find a full list and insider tips re: Amsterdam’s must-visit breweries, as well as some can’t-miss beer-centric bars. It’s more than enough drinking to keep you going (or knock you out) for more than one trip.
For food & activites to go with your beer, check out my FREE FORA GUIDE: https://www.foratravel.com/guides/3VAB5E/beer-tour-amsterdam-maggie-danielli-pecorino — lots of gems hidden here.

It is probably my favorite country in the world, with its beautiful architecture, quaint little towns, endless aesthetic shops, millions of bikes, and some of the best treats out there (looking at you Stroop waffles, Poffertjes, and Tony's Chocolate 🧡).
This is a small guide to Amsterdam with some of my favorite places around the "Venice of the North", including:
