Where to stay:

Tivoli Lagos Algarve Resort
@brisbanefoodadventure
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Lagos. The team was very accommodating and response via booking on booking.com. INCLUDED: Breakfast was included in our stay - buffet style. Hotel has a pool on site, as well their private beach club facility that also has a pool (with a bus transfer to get there). The hotel has small bar to spend some downtime. There is also a gym and a few other amenities. PARKING: They also have parking available if you are driving. LOCATION: Close walk to the Old Town Centre and the Marina. About a 10-15minute walk to the beach. ROOMS: Slightly older style but had everything we needed - small fridge and working aircon.

Head to the Hotel’s Private Beach Club:

Duna Beach
@brisbanefoodadventure
Head to the Hotel’s private beach club via the organised bus transfer. At the beach club you can swim in the luxury pool before grabbing some drinks and lunch at the Duna Beach Club - we ordered the squid and steak sandwich which were a little pricey but we actually enjoyed the meal. You can then order more drinks from the bar to be taken down to the beach! Hire beach chairs for the day for some shade (€9 for 2 people). Head back to hotel via the same bus transfer. The hotel will provide you with the bus times.

Head into the old city centre for a drink at this gorgeous natural wine bar to sample a few of their selections. Was very easy for us to walk-in as we arrived before the dinner rush time.

Swim time 🏖️:

Praia do Camilo
@brisbanefoodadventure
Take a swim at Praia do Camilo which is accessible via steep wooden stairs. Although there are a ton of coves to choose from so you can have a look what suites you best - the more easily accessible beaches are around Praia dos Estudantes 🏖️

Lunch with a view:

Restaurante Camilo
@brisbanefoodadventure
Have a small lunch at this restaurant with oceanfront views. Is alittle pricey as there’s not much else around in this area of the boardwalk

Dinner: 🍴

A Petisqueira
@brisbanefoodadventure
‌Make you’re way to dinner at this amazing seafood specialty restaurant located in the heart of the Old Town! Sit outside for the best atmosphere of everyone walking though the street or inside if you would prefer the quiet. We managed to walk-in but they do take bookings.

Accommodation suggestions:

Lagos Avenida Hotel
@brisbanefoodadventure
This was the other hotel I had been looking at, unfortunately it was not available on the dates we wanted (for our price range). But looked really nice from the exterior when we walked past and really good location on the marina with views across from the rooftop pool.
