I spent hours upon hours researching for the best restaurants to eat at, so you don't have to! Save yourself the hours of scrolling and searching with my detailed guide! In the summer (July 2023) I visited Italy for a month with my intentions set with eating all the foods I have ever dreamed about in Italy. From hand rolled fresh pesto gnocchi to saffron risotto with lamb and gelato you'll think about for days. Actually, all these foods I am convinced you will think about for the rest of your life!
I looked for the hidden local treasures and of course the costly fancy eats while visiting these two cities. When purchasing this guide I will give you exact locations, costs, reservations, recommendations, distances from main attractions, and honest reviews of places I had tried and did not care for! Alot of TikTok's and reels on social media make many of the well know restaurants and quick eats in Italy seem that they are worth every penny ... some are not, and I learned the hard way! Let me help you save money and budget your way through Italy while still eating like royalty along the way!
(13 spots in Rome, 10 spots in Florence)
I will add 7 bonus spots in other cities throughout Italy as well because they were just that good and I can't hide that from people! :)))

Even though you’re in wine country, sometimes you just need a beer, a tasty craft beer (birra artigianale), after a long day of sightseeing.
I’m here to help!
I’ve put together a list of bars, bottle shops, and restaurants known for their craft beer selection, 10 in the Florence/Siena/Arezzo/Montepulciano area and 1 out at the beach for fun 🤩. Some are attached to breweries, some are not. All are good.
Remember drinking and driving is bad. Have a designated driver or hire a car service.

Some of my favorite places in the area between Florence and Siena known as Chianti. It's not just the name of the wine, but also the area which produces it.
Greve is the "capital" of the area, not all the small towns and villages have town halls. Some are what's called a "borgo" a group of homes and perhaps a church. Fun to explore the small off the beaten track places as well.
There are so many lovely bars and shops to have simple snacks if you don't want a large sit down meal. People watching is one of my favorite pastimes. Letting it all soak in.
The 222 highway is often popular with bike riders as well and there are no bike lanes, so drive carefully, especially on the weekends.
Many of the small towns have a market day once a week. Where the mall comes to you. It's always fun to visit a weekly market.
More than just food! Clothing, shoes, purses, fabric, kitchen supplies and more. Often a Porchetta truck.
