Results for Split Nature
During my 7 months travelling Europe last year, I visited Split 3 times, including a one month stay volunteering at a party hostel, so you could say I'm a pretty big fan of this city!
I didn't learn to speak much Croatian, but I did start to feel more like a local and know my way around the beautiful city and surroundings.
This guide will detail some of my favourite things to do in this gorgeous Old Town, including places to eat, drink, party, beaches, day trips and more!

Northland is the northernmost of NZ's 16 regions. Come and immerse yourself in the pure beauty of New Zealand's sub-tropical paradise.
Explore Maori culture, the world's largest Kauri tree, pristine beaches, lush meadows boasting a striking shade of green found nowhere else and the Bay of Islands awaiting you with secluded beaches, dolphins and whales.
The Winterless North is a treasure trove of hidden gems and off the beaten path places, where countless rainbows await.
My guide includes 104 locations shown on an interactive map, the most beautiful places to visit, off the beaten path and hidden gem spots. The main focus of my guide is on outdoor nature places but also provides accommodation recommendations including free camps, places to eat and what to do.
I've visited all of these places myself (except some hotels and restaurants) during the more than 2 years that I lived in NZ. If you have time and you're doing a roadtrip you can just follow the route or simply pick out the places you like most.

This guide is written with the intention of making the most of all this City has to offer - nature, views, city life, restaurants and bars, sports, music - with minimal planning.
To make is easier to read I have split the guide into sections of things to do regardless of the season and then activities for each season. You can pick and choose events on how active you want this trip to be and how far you want to venture out of the city. (Find some transportation tips at the end of the guide :))

Many destinations have been in 🐆 fashion and then out over the years but Milan and Lake Como are constant in their splendor. This is a living guide to the very best places to eat and drink when in the area.
Everybody has their favorite of the 30-plus towns and hamlets, all linked by the scenic Antica Strada Regina. To truly understand the local saying, 🚤 ‘the lake should be seen from the lake’, meander through its least explored corners towards the only island, Comacina (where spectacular firework displays mark the feast of San Giovanni in June); or hop over to the ‘pearl of the lake’, Bellagio, on the tip of the cape where the lake splits into two legs.
My recommendations cover the entire lake Como district - the Alps ever-present, vast and dreamy, climate never too hot, never too cold - and Milan capital of fashion and design setting new trends for Italy and beyond. Tips include dishes to order, background about the place, and some personal anecdotes to give extra color to each destination!
NB: As I travel back to the region I will continue to update this list. If you purchase today, you will receive all future updates.

This was my second time visiting Croatia but my first time visiting Dubrovnik. I loved it so much and can't wait to go back hopefully very soon! Croatia will always have a special place in my heart because it's where we got engaged on July 22nd, 2022!
Croatia is like Italy's second cousin-- it shares the same maritime border, the Adriatic Sea, has a heavy influence of truffles in its cuisine, and celebrates dolce far niente (the sweetness of doing nothing). For our quick 72-hour trip, we basked in the sun, read good books, got a couples massage, and swam in the sea as many times as we could!
Croatia was once part of the Roman Republic and, much later in history, part of Yugoslavia. It has a brutal history of war specifically its most recent civil war resulting in its independence from Yugoslavia which took place from 1991 to 1995. This rich but tragic history has shaped Croatians and their culture into what it is today.
Many locations across Dubrovnik and Split were used for filming the hit TV show, Game of Thrones. There are lots of tours offered to see the various locations but you certainly don't have to be a Game of Thrones fanatic to visit Dubrovnik, Croatia. We didn't meet one Croatian who had watched the show themselves just like ourselves.
Croatia has over 1000 islands with crystal clear water and pebbly beaches for a fraction of the price compared to its neighbors. It's what initially drew me to visit this country along the Balkan peninsula. Here's everything we did throughout our 3-day trip in Dubrovnik plus a few additional recommendations.

The best towns to visit when you want to escape NYC for the day—because we’ve all been there.
In 2022, I decided to move to the Hudson Valley for a year! I rented a house around Cold Spring and I’ve gotten to explore so many little towns. The great part is there’s so many things to do just 1-1.5 hours from Grand Central Terminal. Before this, I lived in Brooklyn for 5 years and loved to take day trips and weekend trips to the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Sometimes you just need to get out of the city!
In this guide, you’ll see 3 towns you can take a day trip to, how to get to them, and fun things to do in each of them. They’re all right off MetroNorth stations and have Main Streets that are walkable, so there’s no need to have a car!

Your complete guide to a perfect upstate weekend: never-ending beer, charming towns, beautiful hikes, and food galore.
The Hudson Valley is home to some of the most fertile soil in the world — the Black Dirt Region. The mineral-rich soil left behind by an ancient glacial lake makes for high-quality crops and clean water. People have been taking advantage of such resources for years.
Enter: beer, and an abundance of top-notch breweries.
This is a local’s look (me!) at not only where to drink — but where to eat, sleep, shop, and breathe in the Hudson Valley. Consider this your personal access to my Google Maps.
