Results for Richmond
These things are my essentials for the river city but I figured I'd give them to you for free cause we're friends. 😉
Richmond, VA is the first city I got to truly explore as an adult. I learned that I DO, in fact, like to be outside sometimes so I figured I'd share my favorite spots to do just that.
I'm a creature of habit who believes in short stays vs vacations. 1-3 months vs 1-3 week and so these are the essentials for me (though these will work for everyone). Wherever I go these are the things I'm doing, the places I need to know immediately and the spots I'll return to time and time again.

You've seen Pier 39, Union Square, and Fisherman's Wharf. What's next? Do as the locals do and spend the day in the neighbourhood, the true essence of the city.
As a local, let me take you to some of my favourite spots. Spend a day discovering the charm, architecture, and views. Don't worry, I've incorporated food and drinks too! :) Expect to walk for a couple of hours with breaks in between.

Visit all the spots where small-town Kansas football coach Ted Lasso inspired and encouraged us all to be better versions of ourselves.
This easy walking tour starts from Richmond Station, which is easy to reach from central London, and visits several locations used throughout all 3 seasons of the hit show. Plus images of how the locations were used in the show.
Notable sites, such as Ted's flat, the Crown and Anchor, and the spot where Roy and Keeley had their first date are included! Also discover the beauty of Richmond along the way while you explore this quieter area of London. Finish your tour strong at the spot where Keeley has her photo shoot, which has a gorgeous view of the River Thames.
And remember, you shouldn’t bring an umbrella to a brainstorm, but you probably should on a walking tour...

As avid travelers who have explored over 40 states in the US, my husband and I are always on the lookout for hidden gem places to visit. And we found just that in Winston-Salem, North Carolina - a town that's often overlooked but has so much to offer!
Winston-Salem is a small town with a big heart, located in the heart of North Carolina. It's a charming town with a rich history and culture, and it's known for its friendly locals, delicious food, and beautiful natural surroundings.
Winston-Salem is located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, approximately 100 miles north of Charlotte and 120 miles west of Raleigh. It is also just a few hours' drive from other major southeastern cities such as Atlanta, Richmond, and Washington D.C.

Dearest Gentle Reader,
It is with the greatest pleasure that I invite you on an enchanting journey through the most sparkling locales that our beloved England has to offer. Prepare yourself for a tour de force that shall transport you into the very heart of the Regency (and Victorian) era, an experience meticulously curated to delight and dazzle even the most discerning of travelers.
Our grand adventure commences with a two-day guide galavanting through the illustrious city of London. There you shall meander through the hallowed halls, lush gardens, royal palaces, and more, much akin to the grand ballrooms and picturesque parks that set the stage for many a dramatic encounter.
From there, we shall whisk you away to the quaint yet opulent city of Bath. Here, you will bask in the elegance of the Roman Baths and promenade through the grandiose Assembly Rooms, where one might imagine the whispers of courtship and intrigue still linger in the air.
Next, the venerable seat of academia, Oxford, awaits your presence. You shall wander its cobblestone streets and explore its ancient colleges, each corner offering a glimpse into the storied past and romantic escapades worthy of our beloved series. As part of your visit, we will provide exclusive entry into an Oxford Ball, a soiree where you shall need your finest attire to mingle with the crème de la crème of society.
Our journey shall culminate in the idyllic Cotswolds, a tapestry of rolling hills and charming villages that promise an immersion in bucolic splendor. You shall visit the acclaimed Blenheim Palace and take in the serene beauty of the English countryside, feeling every bit the lord or lady of the manor.
With every step, you will trace the footsteps of our most beloved characters, visiting the very places where their stories unfolded. This is no ordinary excursion, but rather an invitation to live out your own Bridgerton fantasy, complete with all the opulence and elegance that befits a member of the ton.
Yours most sincerely,
Lady Whistledown
