Planning your first trip to New York City? I can only imagine how overwhelmed you get by the thousands of activities, restaurants, bars and hotels in the Big 🍎
I consider myself a reliably source to NYC since I’ve been there 5 times and lived there for 4 months (yes, I mention this at least once every single day). Soooo, if you need the perfect itinerary for your first time in the city of dreams, you’ve found your girlie!
This guide includes a budget hotel as well as a more upscale one, the perfect mix of touristy and non-touristy activities, amazing restaurants and of course, my favorite boutiques and shops. It’s perfect for 6 to 8 nights and covers Manhattan and a small part of Brooklyn.
This guide really is for everyone, doesn’t matter if you’re visiting with friends, family or your lover. If you need any add-ons or more specific guides I will have different, smaller ones you can use!
Do you want a personal itinerary? Please contact me on Instagram @charlottedekemp! A personal itinerary is €30.
Have you visited already, but need a little different take on the New York streets? I have other, fun guides for you! 💘

If you are looking to plan a trip to New York City during Cherry Blossom season, then this ultimate guide is for you!
I LOVE Cherry Blossom season, and as someone who lives in New York City, I put together this guide to share some of my favorite spots and recommendations for the best places to see the best blooms around Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island and nearby in New Jersey.
Fun Fact: There are actually many types of Cherry Blossom Trees in New York City that bloom starting from early March through May.
This guide is in both a list form and interactive map, and showcases where to find:
*Okame Cherry Blossoms (first blooms of the season)
*Yoshino Cherry Blossoms
*Kwanzan Cherry Blossoms
*Weeping Higan Cherry Blossoms
**BONUS: Saucer & Star Magnolias around the city (these bloom during Cherry Blossom season and not to be missed!
If are planning to visit Washington DC during Cherry Blossom season, make sure to check out my 'Ultimate Washington DC Cherry Blossom Guide' to find the best blooms in DC and when to see them.

Take a relaxing trip to Exit 0: A complete four-day itinerary for a journey to the southern tip of New Jersey, the nation's oldest seashore resort town. Cape May is home to roughly 600 preserved Victorian buildings and collection of quaint bed-and-breakfasts that will transport visitors to decades ago.
This itinerary comes complete with 47 locations, local activities and my favorite food recommendations. Additional honorable mention locations are included at the end as a bonus for more things to check out if you're in the area for more than a few days.
This guide will be updated seasonally as new locations are opened around town.
Housing accommodations mentioned below are based on ones recommended to me by locals. I stayed in town with a local friend and did not have much interaction with local housing.
