🍽️ Discover the Ultimate Keith Lee-Approved CHICAGO Foodie Adventure 📸
Last Updated: 11/26/23
Welcome, fellow food enthusiasts, to the ultimate culinary journey! If you're as passionate about discovering incredible food as I am, you've probably come across the TikTok food critic, Keith Lee (@keith_lee125), who has been tantalizing taste buds since November 2022. To make your foodie travels even more exciting, I've compiled a list of restaurants and eateries in CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, that Keith Lee has awarded a score of 7 or above.
*Before we dive into this delectable list, please note that I am in no way affiliated with Keith Lee, and I'm not receiving any compensation for creating these lists, though I do receive tips anyone chooses to leave.*
This compilation is a labor of love, created personally by yours truly. However, it's essential to understand that human error can occur, and I may have unintentionally missed a few exceptional places. If you know of any hidden gems that Keith has praised but aren't on this list, please DO SHARE them with me so I can update our foodie itinerary.
Here are some important things to keep in mind as you explore this curated collection of culinary hotspots:
CRITERIA: These restaurants and eateries are handpicked based on Keith Lee's reviews and rankings, where he has rated their dishes with a score of 7 or higher.
EXCLUSIONS: Unfortunately, not every food destination from Keith's reviews could make it onto this list. Some places, like food trucks or online businesses, may not be easily pinpointed on a physical map, so they may be missing from this list.
INCLUSIONS: Every place listed below includes (or will soon include)-
1. The name and address of the place 📌
2. A list of dishes that Keith Lee rated a 7 or higher 🌟
3. A link to the original video of his rating 🔗.
Remember, this list is a living document that can be updated with your help. If you've discovered a hidden gem or a food haven that Keith has praised but isn't featured here, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Your feedback and input are highly valued! If you have updates to share or if there's a specific travel itinerary you'd like me to create next, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Read along with me as I tell you exactly how I spent the perfect 12 (ish) hour date night in Chicago with my husband and our two best friends.
Reva, my fire wife and book bestie have recently entered our hockey romance era (didn't know that was actually a thing but here we are). After reading a couple hockey smut novels we found ourselves booking a trip to the windy city to enjoy a Chicago Blackhawks game...since it's valentines day next week we invited our hubbies to join us too ;)
It ended up being the absolute perfect evening beyond fulfilling our hearts' hockey desires. We were led to the last standing prohibition era speakeasy, in the basement of the oldest building in Chicago. We shared a second hand smoke fueled nostalgic visit to one of the mob boss locales as well. Foodie finds on this trip were a solid 10 out of 10! Our hotel was just the right amount of classy yet affordable and we plan to return in the summer to spend time exploring the area on foot here too!
If you enjoy this guide please do me a solid and save it to your faves and share with a friend and leave me a comment below :D

Chicago is a great city - regardless of the season. Yes, even in the winter, there is plenty to do...just bundle up! This guide includes a jam-packed Chicago weekend itinerary meant for the winter. With a good balance of indoor and outdoor activities and sightseeing, you're sure to have a great trip. I've sorted this guide in the order we did things - day by day - for easy use! This is not just a list of ideas, but an actual itinerary. I did the planning and research, so you don't have to! This guide is geared toward adults.
In this guide, you'll find:
-Hotel recommendation
-Restaurants we went to (and notes on whether they take reservations or not)
-Outdoor sightseeing
-Guided tour recommendation
-Interactive Shows (and how to get discounted tickets)
-A dispensary (it's legal in Chicago!)
-Cool photo opps
-Tips and tricks for a smooth experience
-And more!
Everything listed in this guide are things I personally did during a weekend trip to Chicago - so I am speaking from experience and honest reviews. We flew in on a Friday night so that we could kick our itinerary off first thing Saturday morning, and flew out on an early Monday morning flight. There was only a one-hour time difference from our home city, so we didn't really need to adjust to the time difference.

Ever contemplated a new method of travel? A way to break up all of the traffic-filled roadtrips or miserable treks to the airport, only to wait 2-3 hours for a flight? Fed up with the same old highway views (or lack of views from the plane)?
If so, this guide is for you! From the very first time I boarded an Amtrak Long Distance (LD) train in 2016 in Oakland, CA, I was immediately overcome with excitement, which quickly morphed into a passion. I have yet to go on a trip and not catch myself in a trance staring out the window on multiple occasions, failing to read/watch all of the books/shows I thought I would need or having a deep conversation with a complete stranger in the observation car. These experiences are the reason why I write this guide, to share and hopefully inform prospective travelers.
If you are not familiar with Amtrak’s LD services, fear not! I intend to offer as much information about the train options, destinations, schedules and anything else I can think of to lead your potential adventure.
This is just part one of a three-part guide and will cover the intro as well as the first five long-distance trains (numerically). Be sure to check out the other two sections (below) as well as all my other work on Amtrak and budget-oriented traveling. If for some reason, I don’t cover something or you have questions, feel free to reach out!
