Taipei in One Day

Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain)

Also known as Elephant, this is one of the most famous places where you can get an amazing view of the iconic Taipei 101 and the city. I recommend going here either in the morning or in the afternoon. There are so many stairs (it felt never-ending) so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.  

Tip: If you keep walking past the scenic view point, you will find really nice trails that will take you to different parts of the mountain. 

Not many people know of this spot in the city that gives you a clear view of the Taipei 101 building. Elephant mountain is an easy hike to get some fresh air and nature in your trip. 

Only about a 20-minute walk up to the first viewing platform, Elephant Mountain is where you can get the perfect shot of Taipei's city skyline.

5 PM - You can get great views of Taipei 101. Try to hike around sunset time!
