James Blick
"A gorgeous old bar with a gorgeous tiled facade that hints at its past as a turn of the century wine shop. This place is famous for its pincho de tortilla (slice of tortilla),and is a good place for vermouth. I never order anything other than that. Check out the copies of Goya’s famous Disasters of War engravings lining the wall. Heads up, if you want to use the toilet, you have to walk under the bar. God knows how they got a permit for that. It’s often packed."

"It’s a special place for me as it’s where I first had a lot of classic tapas. They have the staples there. Tortilla. Bravas, jamón, cecina, smoked sardines, vermut, gildas, and more. Plus it’s been open over 100 years and still looks like it did in the 1950s. Crawl under the bar to get to the back room and toilets. - Gareth"
"With a kitchen serving food until 01:30AM, this bodega is is the perfect place for late night drinks and food (we did this during a stopover with a flight landing late at night). Probably the best Spanish omelette I've ever had.."
