"Mercato Mayfair is located on the historic site of St. Mark's Church, which was originally built between 1825 and 1828 to address the shortage of churches in the area. St. Mark's served as an Anglican place of worship until the congregation dwindled after the Second World War, leading to its deconsecration by the Church of England in 1974. From April 1994 to June 2014, it was briefly used by the Commonwealth Christian Fellowship (CCF) as a place of Christian worship.
After a careful restoration of its original stained glass windows, altar, and organ, the building was transformed into Mercato Mayfair, opening in 2019 as one of London’s most distinctive food hall experiences! "

"Market in a decommissioned church! Very cool spot. It has a ton of food options - don't miss that it's 3 floors! There are a few in the crypt too.
I went with the ramen and it was phenomenal! You can get food and drink from any stall to take anywhere in the building. "
