"El Yunque Trail is an awe-inspiring path that leads to one of the highest points in the rainforest. Beginning as an extension from Caimitillo or Mount Britton Trail, this trek ascends to El Yunque Peak at 3,445 feet, offering an elevation gain of nearly 1,400 feet.
The trail, featuring a combination of paved pathways and natural terrain, guides adventurers through vibrant landscapes, revealing breathtaking vistas in all directions. Despite occasional muddy patches, the climb to the peak reveals an array of stunning views, capturing the essence of El Yunque's unparalleled beauty. I highly recommend embracing the challenge of this hike to deeply connect with the astonishing beauty of the forest."

"El Yunque Rainforest was beautiful. We booked our tour through Airbnb and our tour guide picked us up at a designated location a 10 minute walk from our Airbnb. It was about a 50 minute drive to the rainforest and we stopped for snacks halfway. Our guide was great! I recommend walking barefoot because the soil is so good for you ( I know it sounds weird). Our tour guide brought us to a spot where we could slide down the rocks and a second spot that was like a large swimming hole. On our way back we stopped at a local market area and got complimentary lunch and had time so swim at the beach.
I definitly recommend this tour, it was about 4-5 hours, affordable, and the guide was great."

"El Yunque is a must for anyone traveling to Puerto Rico. It is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. It is about a 45-60 min drive from San Juan. There are hiking trails, waterfalls, wildlife and unique plants to explore. You do need to purchase a entrance ticket prior to visiting El Yunque. Tickets can be purchased from link below. Because it is the rainforest, it will rain while you are there, so make sure to bring a nice rain jacket, good shoes and cloths you won't mind getting wet. "
