"Il Vescovino is one of my favorite restaurants in Panzano and the whole neighboring area. It’s located in an building from the 1100s in Panzano‘s historical center which used to be the town’s bakery until World War I, then it was transformed in a monastery and elementary school, and in the 1980s it became a restaurant for the first time.
The family of Italian descent that runs it moved all the way from Brazil in 2015 to come to Panzano to live their dream of running a small Italian restaurant.
Hospitality is excellent and they’ve also got an amazing view.
My favorite dishes:
- pici all’aglione,
- tomato mezze maniche,
- roast chicken with freshly grated lemon zest and roast potatoes,
- roast pork belly,
- zucchini with garlic and olive oil,
- Bruna’s tiramisu.
Closed for winter break until March 2023. "
