"Le Jardin Secret is a beautifully restored historic garden nestled in the heart of Marrakech's medina. Dating back to the 16th century, this hidden gem offers visitors a peaceful retreat from the bustling city streets. The garden is divided into two distinct sections: an exotic garden filled with vibrant plants from around the world and an Islamic garden that follows traditional Moroccan design principles, with geometric pathways and tranquil water features. Le Jardin Secret also houses a charming café and a small museum that provides insight into the garden's history and the intricate hydraulic systems used for its irrigation. With its lush greenery, serene ambiance, and stunning views from the tower, Le Jardin Secret is a perfect oasis for those looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Moroccan garden art."

"The origins of the complex date back to the Saadian Dynasty, over four centuries ago.
Reconstructed in the mid-19th century by a powerful figure from the Atlas Mountains, it served as a residence for prominent Moroccan political figures.
In 2008, the site underwent a major restoration project, transforming it into a beautiful garden sanctuary open to the public.
Nestled within the maze-like alleyways of the Medina, Le Jardin Secret offers a surprising escape from the city's vibrant chaos.
The garden's design blends traditional Islamic and Andalusian influences, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere."

"Once upon a time, there was a palace on this site. However, by the mid-2000's the site was completely in disrepair and a dusty lot. In 2008, workers began to clean up, restore, and "greenify" the site. After 8 years of painstaking work, le Jardin Secret opened up as a wonderful garden in the middle of the Medina - as the name suggests, secret and hidden from the bustle of the old city.
The site has two main gardens: one Islamic inspired garden and another more botanical garden. In the middle is an irrigation channel linked to the Atlas Mountains. There is also a viewpoint and a beautiful cafe on site."
