Checked in and enjoy what all inclusive food and drink has to offer.

Whilst waiting for my room to be ready I enjoyed lunch at the hotel’s outside bar. I opted for a Caesar salad and a refreshing cocktail to kickstart the trip.

• Room Check-in 3pm

Nobu Rooftop Garden (Reservation)

Rooftop Garden
@MinnieEscapes
Traveler Overview: Nobu Rooftop Garden Location: Located atop the Nobu Hotel Marrakech, the Rooftop Garden offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the Atlas Mountains, making it one of the top spots for dining in Marrakech. Best Time for Reservations: To catch the sunset and enjoy the beautiful evening light over the city, it’s best to make a reservation around 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, especially if you’re visiting during the warmer months when sunsets occur earlier. This allows you to enjoy cocktails while watching the sun dip below the horizon, creating a spectacular view. Atmosphere & Entertainment: The rooftop is stylishly designed with a chic, modern vibe. In the evening, the atmosphere transforms with live DJ sets that play a mix of upbeat tunes, creating a lively and sophisticated vibe. Entertainment typically starts around 9:00 PM, when the pace picks up, and the rooftop turns into a vibrant space for socializing and dancing. Menu Highlights: The Nobu Rooftop Garden menu offers a mix of Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine, with standout dishes including: • Black Cod Miso (a Nobu signature) • Yellowtail Jalapeño • Tuna Tataki with ponzu sauce • Nobu Sushi Platters • Wagyu Beef Tacos • For dessert, the Nobu Cheesecake is a must-try. There’s also an extensive cocktail and wine list, featuring both classic cocktails and creative twists inspired by Moroccan ingredients. Cost: Expect to pay around 600-900 MAD (approximately £45-70 or $60-90) per person for a 3-course meal, depending on what you order and if you choose wine or cocktails. Keep in mind that drinks and additional courses will increase the cost. Tip: Reservations are highly recommended, especially if you want to secure a spot with the best view for sunset and to ensure you’re there for the DJ and entertainment later in the evening.

Once checked in, I refreshed and changed for my reservation at Nobu rooftop garden. I took the hotel’s free shuttle into the Medina, then hopped on a horse-drawn carriage for a 10-minute ride to the Rooftop Garden (it would have been a 17-minute walk, but the ride was much more fun).

The rooftop offered a panoramic 360-degree view of the city, and I enjoyed cocktails, a beer, and a delicious pizza as the sunset painted the sky.

• Return to Hotel

Travelling back to the hotel via Taxi 🚕 is easy, is located directly outside of Nobu and it will cost 150MAD return

I took a taxi back to the hotel, relaxed in my room, and then headed to the hotel’s buffet to enjoy a late Evening meal and desserts.

I ended the evening with a glass of wine from the bar, a bubble bath, music, and a Netflix film before heading to bed.

Day 2: Culture, Relaxation & Celebration

• Jardin Majorelle

(pre-booked)

Jardin Majorelle
@MinnieEscapes
Why It’s Instagram-Worthy: Known for its stunning blue architecture and lush greenery, this garden is a peaceful oasis. It’s also home to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, making it a must-see for fashion and design lovers. Best Shot: The striking cobalt blue walls against vibrant greenery and exotic plants.

A buffet breakfast at the hotel started the day. I then grabbed a taxi to Jardin Majorelle for my 9:30am visit.

The hotel can arrange and call a taxi 🚕

I made a pre-trip purchase and got a combination ticket from ‘GetMyGuide’ website for both Marjorelle, Berber Museum and the YSL Museum, so I could immerse myself in the beautiful landscapes and artistry on my birthday.

Travel Tip: Buy ticket onsite

Combination Tickets on the GetYourGuide are listed for £25.47 per person

Cheaper to direct purchase combination ticket from YSL Museum

Yves Saint Laurent Museum
@MinnieEscapes
Purchasing the tickets directly at the YSL Museum or Jardin Majorelle will be cheaper, costing only about £8-9 compared to the £25.47 on GetYourGuide.

However, the GetYourGuide ticket offers convenience (especially if you’re looking to skip the lines or need a flexible booking option) and may include additional perks like access to guided tours, which might make it worth the extra cost depending on your preferences.

• Mint Tea at Villa Cuajozelle

Café Majorelle
@MinnieEscapes
I visited in December 2024 and it has now been renamed ‘Villa Cuajozelle’, it is located right in the middle between Marjorelle and YSL I actually preferred sitting in here in comparison to paying to walk around Le Jardin Marjorelle. So peaceful, so tranquile, I literally felt like I just walked into a haven of peace and calm. Violin music played as I entered and the tension I felt from being in an overcrowded space next door just disappeared. Sitting down and just being in there was a great way to celebrate my birthday morning, sipping on mint tea, basking in the ambiance of the place.

After the garden and museums, I stopped at Villa Cuajozelle (formerly Café Majorelle) for mint tea in a serene setting.

Next, I explored the boutique shops co-located in the area and bought a bag, souvenirs, and argan oil to take home.

It’ll be hard not to buy anything the stores so chic and and everything they sell is lovely 😻

After shopping, I took a taxi back to the hotel and spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool with cocktails.

Later, I enjoyed a Hammam steam, body scrub, and massage at the hotel’s spa. I sipped mint tea around the indoor pool before heading to lunch at the hotel’s buffet.

In the evening, I dressed up for my special birthday meal at Nouba Restaurant. I’d pre-booked a 3-course dinner package via GetYourGuide, which included entertainment. The ambiance and food were fantastic, making it a memorable birthday celebration.

• I slept-In / Duvet Day

I had a walking tour booked for 10:00am to explore Ben Youssef Madrasa, La Jardin Secret, the Medina, and other attractions. But feeling like taking it easy, I canceled the tour and enjoyed a relaxed morning, only stepping out for food and drinks.

• Evening at Hotel 🏨 Moroccan Restaurant

For dinner, I booked a special Moroccan meal at the hotel’s Moroccan restaurant, which is only available once a week. The food was delicious, and since it was all-inclusive, I indulged in a few more glasses of wine before heading to bed.

Day 4: Luxury and Local Exploration

The day began with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a lunch reservation at La Jardin restaurant within the opulent Royal Mansour. The meal was exquisite, and I had time to explore the grand grounds and gardens.

• Royal Mansour Lunch

Le Jardin Restaurant
@MinnieEscapes
Royal Mansour’s La Jardin restaurant offers an extraordinary dining experience in the heart of Marrakech, blending traditional Moroccan flavors with refined, contemporary elegance. Set within the lush gardens of the hotel, the restaurant invites guests to savor a menu that highlights the richness of local ingredients, from aromatic tagines to expertly crafted pastries. The serene atmosphere, paired with impeccable service, enhances the sense of exclusivity. The open-air dining space, surrounded by vibrant greenery and water features, creates an immersive, tranquil setting, making La Jardin not just a meal, but a sensory journey through the essence of Moroccan culinary art.”

Lunch was nice, more expensive than other food establishments but then dining here is an experience worth every penny in my view as I visited During the Christmas season, I was lucky enough to enjoy the spectacular Christmas display in the lobby.

• Visit to La Jardin Secret & Medina Souks

Le Jardin Secret
@MinnieEscapes
Why It’s Instagram-Worthy: This hidden gem in the Medina is an elegant, green oasis that offers a delightful combination of traditional Islamic and Moroccan styles. Best Shot: Symmetrical paths or the reflection of fountains in the pools. Cafe Serves: Moroccan-inspired cocktails and fresh local ingredients. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a casual cocktail with friends. What to Try: “Le Jardin Mojito” or the “Pomegranate Margarita”. Vibe: Peaceful, botanical, and charming with a serene courtyard setting. A lot of travel bloggers suggest to arrive early in the morning to get best views - but this results in early tourist crowds. My first visit I arrived mid afternoon and it wasn’t overly overly crowded but still plenty people around but plenty of bench seating spaces. To avoid crowds and enjoy a peaceful visit to Le Jardin Secret in Marrakech, it’s best to go during mid-afternoon, typically between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM. At this time, the early rush of tourists has usually passed, and the crowds tend to thin out. Additionally, the temperatures are often a bit more manageable in the afternoon, and you can enjoy the garden’s serene atmosphere without feeling rushed. It’s an ideal time to relax, take photos, and explore the beautiful Islamic architecture and lush greenery in peace.

After lunch, I took a taxi to La Jardin Secret and spent some time admiring its lush beauty. I then wandered through the Medina souks in the surrounding area. The maze of vibrant stalls offered everything from spices and textiles to intricate indoor riads selling furniture, doors, and local handicrafts. The souks were a sensory delight, full of rich colors and unique finds.

• Return to Hotel & Reflection

I returned to the hotel for a relaxed afternoon, reflecting on my trip, before heading to the hotel restaurant for my final evening meal.

• Departure

The next morning, I had breakfast and checked out, taking a transfer to the airport for my 1:00pm flight home, bringing home memories of an unforgettable Marrakech experience.

Notes:

• The Be Live Collective Adults Only Hotel was a great base for relaxation, offering a wonderful all-inclusive experience, a shuttle to the Medina, and plenty of amenities to enjoy at leisure.

• Nobu Rooftop Garden and Nouba Restaurant were standout dining experiences, especially with their entertainment and city views.

• Be sure to explore Jardin Majorelle and La Jardin Secret for their natural beauty, and make time for a trip to the Royal Mansour for a taste of luxury. The Medina souks are a must-see, but don’t forget to bargain!
