What people say

"Triana Market is located in the popular Seville neighbourhood of Triana, as its name suggests. On the ground floor of the market are the remains of the Castle of San Jorge, the seat of the former inquisitorial court. This castle was the seat of the Inquisition from 1481, although its initial construction dates back to the Arab period, dating from 1171. Affected by continuous abandonment and successive floods of the Guadalquivir, in 1823 the market was installed on its site, popularly known as the Plaza de Abastos. Triana Market has a wide range of leisure and cultural activities in the more than ten stalls dedicated to catering, from traditional Andalusian food to vegetarian and international food, including an oyster bar. Among the most innovative projects we find an old theatre, a cooking school and soon a playroom. In short, a lively market that is being renovated inside and out for the enjoyment of Triana residents, Sevillians and anyone who knows how to value authenticity and tradition without giving up quality."
"A visit to the Mercado de Triana in the morning might be worthwhile. There are many shops or stalls in this tiny market. Since most of the stores are closed, I had mushroom quiche (quiche de setas) at "Obrador La Osa." I happened to hear the culinary demonstration next to Obrador La Osa when I was dining, and I thought it sounded like fun. Although there isn't much to see, this is an excellent opportunity to experience the spirit of Seville."

"Get ready to experience the local market. As everywhere else in Spain, the market represents a group of stands offering fruits, meat, fish, and little coffee shops aka the perfect spot for breakfast or a snack! "
