"Well-loved by locals and travelers alike (and by Stanley Tucci, who visited it with local food writer Leonardo Romanelli in his series "Searching For Italy"),
Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco since 1984 specializes in dishes like ribollita, pappa al pomodoro and panzanella, three seasonal answers to Tuscany's conundrum of hardened day-old bread, but also in the most adored local game meat, "cinghiale" (wild boar), as you can probably guess by the name.
Also consider ordering "lardo con pane tostato", local cured pork lard with roasted bread, and their truffle, pecorino cheese and onion flan ("sformatino di cipolle con pecorino e tartufo") antipasto. The last time we tried it, we found it so delicious that we ordered it again for dessert!
Fun fact: Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco has not one, but TWO buchette del vino, arm-height tiny little windows that started appearing all around Florence in the 15th century, and were used by families who had vineyards in the countryside to sell small amounts of wine straight to the consumer.
You could purchase new flasks or you could hand over your own for a refill.
Check out buchettedelvino.org for a map of the windows."

"Featured on Stanley Tucci's show, it's known for its traditional Tuscan dishes.
It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. The interior is cozy and inviting, with rustic wooden beams, terracotta floors, and walls adorned with vintage photos
Expect hearty dishes, like: wild boar stew, the handmade pappardelle al cinghiale, perfectly cooked octopus and ribollita soup.
Alos, don't skip the tiramisu for dessert."

"Best parpadelle ragú al cinghiale in all of Italy (recommended by Stanley Tucci)- you will not find this regional dish anywhere else on the rest of the trip. I would recommend calling to pre-book a table, normally they can fit you in at 9:30pm last minute.
