"Watching Chef Will on Netflix (Chef's Table Season 4, Episode 4) actually motivated me to return to Bali. I highly recommend visiting his restaurant, although I personally preferred the initial version before the expansion, it still offers a fantastic experience. Is it worth making a trip solely to Ubud for it? Perhaps not, but Ubud itself has many other reasons to visit. Having been there twice, I had a great time on both occasions. The staff is incredibly sweet and genuinely eager to share their knowledge and passion. In Room4Dessert 1.0, the focus was more on actual desserts, featuring both savory and sweet options. The 2.0 version, with more tables and a "journey" where the dinner changes three times location, includes dishes that aren't necessarily related to desserts. However the philosophy of locally relevant is still the same and this we love. During my last visit (menu season 16 Passepartout), my favorite dishes were the melon-lardo, NKD, prawn tempura, and the famous smoked chocolate."
