"EN: If you feel sporty enough you can rent a bike and ride it to the beach. It takes about 25 minutes by bike. Bike hire costs around $10 for the day. If the bike isn't for you, don't hesitate to take a taxi. The route is well worth the effort, as it takes you via the road through large jungle canopies. There will probably even be howler monkeys in the trees. First stop: playa Chiquita, with turquoise water and palm trees it is a nice place to swim. Second stop: playa punta uva, the sand is very soft, and the palm trees are two meters from the water, it's heavenly. If you go to the right side of the beach you can also walk to the Mirador, it's worth it. Third stop: on the other side of the cove you can also go to Playa Grande punta uva, less known but also worth it. You can bring your own picnic, but there are plenty of restaurants right on the beach. "

"Playa Punta Uva is a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise colored water. There are breathaking viewpoints along with a small trail where you are likely to see sloths and monkeys. The trail is a short walk, about 15-20 minutes. To get there, enter through the entrance called"Punta Uva Adventures" or "Sloth's Point". Things to do there include: - Kayak: You can kayak into the ocean or up to Punta Uva river - Snorkel: There is a spot near the view point and you can actually swim up to the coral reef! - Swimming - Walk to viewpoints - Sunbathe"
"Playa Punta Uva is a beautiful beach located nearby Puerto Viejo. I truly recommend going by bike from town to here. The beach is touristic, but is beautiful and full of lush vegetation. In here I saw a sloth, so you have chances to see wild animals. There is also a river, and you can rent a kayak to go through it. "

Costa Rica is among the most well known countries in Central America, because of its lush and wild vegetation as well as beaches and wildlife. In this guide, I share with you my opinion of each of the places I've been to in Costa Rica, which can be considered controversial but these will be the most honest thoughts you'll find. Although Costa Rica was a beautiful place to see, my honest opinion is that it's overrated and super expensive.
