Bread & Chocolate

A cafe in town with amazing Carribbean pancakes!
Their bakery section was top notch for people with a sweet tooth. We tried their cacao nib cold brew and it was good.

Cafe Rico
@laurenhodgins
This was one of our favourite Cafes in the city!
Cafe Rico offers laundry service as well, and my favourite part was the book exchange in the cafe 📚
For the book exchange, if you bring in two books, you can get one book in return. If you bring one book in and pay $2 US, you can get one book. Or you can just choose to pay $4 US per book. This is awesome if you’re looking for books in different languages (German, French, Spanish, English…). We also saw children’s books in English and Spanish.

Restaurant Eden Beach, Punta Uva
@laurenhodgins
Restaurant Eden is right across from Pacho's Place at Punta Uva or "Sloth's Point". This is a great place to get lunch at after your river/ocean paddle, swim or your hike to see sloths.
The casados was delicious and extremely filling! You also have to try one of the fresh fruit drinks for a good refreshing drink.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lauren Hodgins
Hi, I am Lauren and I have always enjoyed traveling! I love all things health and wellness, as well as traveling to new places and being immersed in new cultures, trying new foods, seeing amazing views that our Earth has to offer and to grow as a person.
I am from Ontario, Canada and despite my love for traveling before this time, my love for traveling was deepened after my study exchange in Jönköping, Sweden! During that time, I was able to see lots of Europe, which I plan on heading back to Europe for even more adventures. I have been able to see lots of South America and Central America as well. My near future travels will most likely be towards South East Asia and I am so excited.
When it comes to traveling, I mostly keep with my backpack as I have found that it makes for spontaneous trips more achievable, cheaper, and for the pure enjoyment of packing light.
I thought of this idea to start blogging/documenting my travels while living the slow life in Costa Rica.
