What people say

"Right in the heart of Rome, where History absolutely and magically matches with the new trends of young people from all over the world, there is since 1970 “Il Forno” (Bakery) of Campo de’ Fiori, where tradition has never surrendered to easy shortcuts and where a team of expert bakers every day hardly works to produce and propose to its customers the same bread, the same pizza and the same specialties which are successful and which delight the tastes of old and new visitors since more than 30 years by now. The highly selected ingredients, the rigorously extra virgin olive oil, the butter of best quality, the most exclusive jams and the wise hand of who loves, respects this job and continues it despite the easy earnings are the unique secret of this thirty-year success, all together consciously mixed by the only principles which allow to be Great: “Passion and seriousness."
"🇬🇧 A great option for breakfast or for a quick lunch. Go here to taste real Roman white "pizza", a sort of flatbread/focaccia, to be enjoyed as is or stuffed with mortadella, or any of their seasonal sweet baked goods. When they have them, don't miss out on whipped cream-filled maritozzi, like a shoft, leavened brioche. There might be a line. 🇮🇹 Eccezionale per colazione o per un pranzo veloce ed economico. Vai qui per assaggiare la vera pizza bianca romana, una sorta di schiacciata/focaccia, così com’è o ripiena di mortadella, o uno qualsiasi dei loro dolci stagionali. Quando ci sono, non perdetevi i maritozzi ripieni di panna. Potrebbe esserci un po' di fila."

"One of Rome’s oldest bakeries (been open since 1880). Forno Campo de Fiori makes some of the best pizza Bianca and Pizza Rossa in town. It is all sold by the weight, so head to the back o the shop, point to what you want and tell them more or less how much you would like. They will then weigh it, give you a ticket, and you go pay at the cash register. At lunch time, they open up the shop next door which only sells pizza sandwiches (literally crunchy pizza with olive oil and salt, stuffed with anything you can possibly imagine!)"
