Earthy Tones

Café del Art
@kristinavstheworld
This charming café, with the large number of seating both inside and out on the terrace, sparks with unique ambience. Located near the antique market El Rastro, this place is carefully designed, super inviting and with plants all around the café. It is one of the bigger cafés on the list, nonetheless it is very busy, especially on the weekends. There is a seating for those coming to work, however it is limited, so have that in mind. Other than its gorgeous aesthetics, the place offers extensive menu with amazing coffee and food, as well as tea, desserts, pastry and some interesting vegan colorful latte’s which I encourage you to try! As I mentioned prior, though very spacious, it is a crowded place, which leads to service sometimes being a bit slow. Even so, the vibes in this place are amazing, food&coffee tasty and aesthetics inviting and comfortable. It’s one of my favorites on the list! Prices start at 2€

Urban\Hipster vibes

Faraday
@kristinavstheworld
Faraday blends together a coffee shop and a record store in a very cool space, giving out urban vibes. The place is super photogenic, beautifully designed with some pop art furniture and hipster aesthetics. The owners are very passionate about their cool shop, and they are serving high quality coffee. From time to time, they organize different events, but mainly you can come to enjoy great music and delicios coffee. They also offer wine, craft beer and some food. Though they allow laptops, it is a record store, so it won't be super quiet for you to work there, but it's a perfect spot to relax and spend some time in the center of Madrid. It is also pet friendly, so you can bring your little friends!

Home Sweet Home

Café de la Luz
@kristinavstheworld
This extremely charming café, located few minutes away from Gran Via, gives out cozy and inviting vibes. It makes you feel like you’re in the living room of your dreams, with the comfy vintage furniture, book shelves, piles of magazines everywhere, cool posters on the walls and some cute lamps. The place is a great spot for group meet ups as well as some solo visits. During the day it is mostly quiet and calm, and it gets very vibrant and lively during the night. When it comes to those working, you are allowed to bring in your lap top weekday mornings, as later in the day, café becomes much bussier and loud. This is one of the very few spots in Madrid where you can get coffee until late hours. They offer some lighter food, which in all honesty ain’t great, but the cakes are definitely recommendable, as well as the long cocktail list! It’s also worth mentioning that this place is budget friendly, especially being in the center. Prices start at 1.50€

Salon Des Fleurs
@kristinavstheworld
Salon Des Fleurs made it to the list as a very unique place aestheticwise. Filled with plants and flowers, cozy and vintage, offering extensive menu of coffee, tea, cakes and pastry. The food is rather average, but it's a nice place to get a cup of coffee. Keep in mind that the prices are slightly higher, and the cafe not too spaceous. Prices start at : 2.50€

Colorful Menu

Religion Speciality Coffee
@kristinavstheworld
This [extremely] busy spot made it to the list as a place many have recommended to me in the past. It has at its disposal an extensive menu of both food&bevrages, beautiful interior as well as some outdoor sitting, and many lovely reviews. I might've cought it on  a wrong day, as the service was quite unpleasent, which made me not so intrested in returning. They offer varried selections of coffee, matcha, tea as well as smoothies, tosts, pancakes, eggs, bowls, salads, burgers, pizzas, soups and more. Eventhough it wasn't my cup of tea, some of you will definitely enjoy this place. Prices start at 2€

Minimalist

Nomade Cafe
@kristinavstheworld
This café is a perfect brunch or a coffee meet up spot, because of its fresh, healthy and beautifully presented food (very instagrammable), nordic aesthetics with attention to detail, baristas always with a smile and a pet friendly policy. The menu has many vegetarian options, and I would especially recommend tartuffo dish as well as banana bread which is my favorite! Lap tops are not allowed, and the place tends to get busy, but it’s definitely worth the wait. BUDGET HACK: You can grab one of their beautifly designed free cards, getting a stamp for each coffee you purchase. Each 5th is free and after the 10th you get their customized tote bag. Prices start at 1,5€

Café Federal
@kristinavstheworld
FEDERAL CAFÉ This stylish, Australian-style café, offers varied options for breakfast (such as cereals with yogurt, croissants, eggs, pancakes) and brunch (toasts, salads, burgers) It is pet friendly, and it also offers a large table for those working. It’s a crowded space and the customer service is rather bad. The only reason it ended up on my list, is for it’s good coffee, lovely bright interior and also seating outside on the square. Prices start at 1.70€
