Togni's Pizza

If you love pizza as much as I do, I wholeheartedly recommend Togni's—an authentic Italian pizza in the iconic Chinese neighborhood. After a day of exploring, this spot is your go-to for classic Italian pizza with a vintage twist. Grab an Aperol Spritz or local craft beer, bask in the trendy and pet-friendly ambiance, and savor each slice. You can choose between single slices or a whole pizza, making your experience as unique as your cravings. (They also have a spot at Bocha, at the Argentinian Campo de Polo)

Local tip: Togni's Cafe, is right next to it where you can get your well-deserved dessert. My personal faves are the cookies.

Asian Infusion Cuisine

Na Num

This Korean-inspired restaurant in the vibrant neighborhood of Chacarita is a true hidden gem! The restaurant's charm lies in its modest size and intimate ambiance, boasting just around 15 tables, which makes you feel utterly cozy— so I'll recommend making a reservation beforehand. They offer a great wine selection that complements the one-of-a-kind dishes they present. The mix of flavors and the careful selection of ingredients create harmony for the taste buds. They exclusively serve dinner, making it a perfect destination for those seeking an evening indulgence.

Insider tip: I usually like to order several dishes to share, with my friends or cute date.

Emperador Meiji

Nestled in the heart of Palermo Hollywood, among incredible dining spots, stands one of my timeless favorites—Emperador Meiji. This Japanese barbecue has an extensive menu that caters to every palate. In my opinion, one of the things that truly sets this place apart is the extraordinary signature drinks. Among my top picks are the Uji Grass and the Jazzmine Chado—beverage creations that are unique. Emperador Meiji brilliantly harmonizes the Argentine love for exceptional meat with a Japanese twist.

Insider tip: If you're up for an elevated dining adventure, don't miss their Omakase experience, tucked away in an upstairs space. I will explain more below...

Mutsushito

Mutsushito is a remarkable 19-step omakase journey and the best I've tried so far. With two available schedules, this immersive dining experience accommodates around 20 people, each seated at the bar where the skilled chefs work their magic in front of you. The dynamic setup fosters the opportunity for mingling with fellow diners—an invitation to connect over shared culinary excitement. It follows a standard pricing structure for the entire omakase experience, while beverages remain a separate affair.

So, prepare your taste buds for an unparalleled adventure, where the culinary artistry converge to create an unforgettable dining odyssey.

Mirutaki

In the heart of Palermo Hollywood, Mirutaki is a Japanese gem worth discovering. While they do offer classic Japanese dishes, I'd highly recommend delving into their lesser-known culinary treasures for a truly immersive Japanese dining experience. From delectable bowls and flavorful ramen to irresistible gyozas, Mirutaki showcases the essence of Japanese cuisine in its entirety. The intimate space doesn't accept reservations, so plan to arrive either early or late to secure a spot. If you opt for an early arrival, expect a brief half-hour wait as the efficient service keeps things moving smoothly, without making you feel rushed. Alternatively, consider arriving near closing hours, as they graciously welcome guests until the end of the day, even allowing you to dine beyond closing time. The menu may not be extensive, but every dish is a must-try, and for two people, two starters and two entrees should suffice—though the temptation to sample more will be hard to resist. Mirutaki is the go-to spot for a scrumptious, quality meal made with authenticity and love, making it the perfect choice when you crave an exceptional dining experience.

Strange Brewing is not your typical beer bar— it earned its place in my foodie lover's guide, thanks to its extraordinary gastronomic offerings. With a diverse menu catering to all taste preferences, from zesty spicy chicken and mouthwatering tacos to the finest nachos and delightful cachapa (corn pancake), this spot is a haven for both beer aficionados and culinary enthusiasts alike. Nestled in the charming Colegiales neighborhood, Strange Brewing offers multiple seating options, whether you choose to sip your beer on the sidewalk, snag a cozy table indoors, or opt for a communal outdoor table—an excellent opportunity to make new friends. The lively atmosphere makes it a quintessential post-work meeting spot, and though reservations aren't accepted, waiting for a table is a breeze as you can enjoy a drink outside while engaging in conversation. Plus, don't miss their in-house beer brand, brewed on-site, offering a wide variety of beer types to suit every palate, all expertly paired with a delectable meal. Strange Brewing truly offers the best of both worlds for those seeking a memorable beer and dining experience.

Nestled within the vibrant neighborhood of Chacarita, this culinary marvel has achieved the ultimate accolade: inclusion in the esteemed Michelin Guide for 2024. This restaurant fuses Argentine gastronomy with diverse culinary influences from around the globe.

From tantalizing pastas and artisanal pizzas to succulent cuts of meat and fresh seafood, each dish is a testament to culinary craftsmanship and cross-cultural inspiration.

For those in the know, securing a reservation here may seem impossible. However, fear not, for I have uncovered the secret to experiencing its culinary delights firsthand.

Arrive promptly at 7:30 PM, but resist the temptation to succumb to hunger just yet—the restaurant opens its doors at 8 PM. Upon arrival, simply add your name to the waiting list, and rest assured, your patience will be rewarded.

While the wait may vary, ranging from 8 PM to as late as 11 PM, the experience that awaits is well worth it. But fear not, for just a block away lies Anchoita Cava—a charming extension of the restaurant where you can savor tantalizing appetizers, artisanal cheeses, and exquisite charcuterie. Should your table be ready while you're still indulging in the delights of Anchoita Cava—your unfinished delights will seamlessly accompany you to the main dining area.

Immerse yourself in the lively ambiance as you stroll the streets with a glass of fine wine in hand, anticipation building with each step. Once seated, you will be guided by impeccable service and a commitment to ensuring every moment is unforgettable.
