There’s a million and one things to see in the UK’s buzzing capital; from historical monuments to hidden speakeasies. I know it can be quite overwhelming for a first time visitor, so I’ve put together this itinerary for anyone who wants to venture off the usual tourist track.

📍 Dishoom (They have 6 locations across central London)

🗒️ Indian might not be the first cuisine that springs to mind for breakfast, but there’s a reason Dishoom is famous for it. Make sure you try their Masala beans and indulge in their unlimited chai!

🗒️ This stall on the outskirts of Borough Market makes the best cheese toastie in London. Their raclette is also to-die-for too and a lot more filling than you’d expect!

🗒️ Located 40 floors above London’s bustling business district, the incredible views from this restaurant are worth every cent. Make sure you book your spot in advance, or take advantage of their 24/7 opening hours to pop in for a midnight feast.

What To Do

📍 God’s Own Junkyard

💵 Free

🗒️ It’s hard to believe that this Neon Narnia is completely free! It’s a bit further out of the centre than other attractions, but well worth the visit to gaze upon 600+ neon signs.

📍 St Dunstan in the East Church Garden

💵 Free

🗒️ This little oasis in the heart of London is the perfect spot to take a breather. The church was largely destroyed in WW2 and it’s walls are adorned with strings of ivy and other gorgeous greenery.

📍 The Vaults

💵 Various Prices

🗒️ Known for its immersive theatre experiences and alternative art exhibitions, The Vaults is a venue unlike any other. Even if you can’t catch a show here, it’s well worth a visit to wander through a maze of abandoned railway arches and check out the ever-changing graffiti on Leake Street.

🗒️ This unique bookstore houses thousands of cookbooks and features a cafe which serves recipes from the cookbooks on sale. If you’re lucky enough to drop by on a launch day, you’ll be able to savour recipes from the cookbook being whipped up by professional chefs!
