GETTING TO SUWON FROM SEOULΒ

πŸš‡ Your Transportation Options!Β πŸš‡

If you're heading from Seoul to Suwon, you've got a few transportation choices to consider:

✨ Regular Subway:

Affordable at around 1300krw-2000krw one way, but it takes about an hour. Take Line 1 from Seoul Station to Suwon Station.

✨ ITX-Saemaeul:

Costs about 4800krw one way and takes about 30 minutes. It's a comfy ride with reserved seating. You can also opt for a standing/non-reserved seat ticket for 4100krw.

✨ Mugunghwa:

A quicker option, taking about 30 minutes, and costs around 2700krw one way. You get a reserved seat, or you can choose a standing/non-reserved seat ticket for 2300krw.

✨ KTX:

The fastest option, taking about 30 minutes, but it's pricier at about 8,400krw one way. You get a reserved seat, or you can opt for a standing/non-reserved seat ticket for 8000krw.

[My recommendation? Go for the Mugunghwa for a speedy and comfortable ride, but if you're looking to save some cash, the regular subway Line 1 is a solid choice too! πŸš†πŸ’¨]

GETTING AROUND SUWON

Suwon is easily walkable from place to place, allowing you to soak in its charm at your own pace.

While buses are available, I highly recommend walking, especially along the scenic path of the Hwaseong Fortress. πŸŒ‡

If you take the bus, the T-Money card, like in Seoul, is accepted on the buses too!

While exploring the streets of Suwon in search of a lunch spot, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try. To our delight, we savored their flavourful Kimchi Stew and Kimchi Pancake, which left us thoroughly impressed! πŸ’¬Although the staff didn't speak English, their warmth and hospitality were unmistakable. They went above and beyond, using translation tools like Papago to bridge the language barrier and ensure we had a delightful dining experience. While English may not be their forte, a few words of Korean can certainly enhance your interaction with them! πŸ’°The cost for 2 Kimchi Stew (Kimchi Jjigae) & 1 Kimchi Pancake (Kimchijeon) was 24,000 KRW Search for "Hwahong Restaurant" on Naver maps (Link is attached here too)
