Paris as A Digital Nomad

Paris as A Digital Nomad

Paris is one of the most touristic places on earth, if you are looking to go to all these attractions this guide is not for you. If you are looking to discover the " real" Paris with a touch of touristy attractions, please continue. As there are many places in the city that are absolutely beautiful and not full of tourists all the time. I’ve visited Paris a dozen times as a digital nomad, from a couple of hours to a couple of weeks, but not only that—I’ve also lived in the city of love for about a year. With this knowledge, many of my friends have asked me countless times where they should go when visiting. So, this has become my go-to travel guide. Here are some of my personal tips: - Use the subway or bikes to visit the city. - Stay in Rive Droite (north of the Seine). - Do the tourist attractions, but also try to see the "real" Paris. - Be careful with your phone in the subway, especially when standing close to the doors. - Paris is a multicultural city—eat more than just French food! Enjoy Paris! PS: Although I have been do these places some might close if so please let me know :) Thank you

Favorite markets

Marché Couvert des Enfants Rouges
@AnywhereWithHanna
This is the oldest covered market in Paris, with a variety of super diverse food stands. From the famous TikTok sandwiches (Chez Alain Miam Miam) to incredible Moroccan tagines (Le Traiteur Marocain) and even Michelin-worthy food (Les Enfants du Marché). It does get crowded, though, so make sure to go just before lunch to secure a spot and have some time to walk around.

Marché couvert Saint-Quentin
@AnywhereWithHanna
Tucked in the lively 10th arrondissement, Marché Saint-Quentin isn't just a market; it's where locals working nearby grab diverse and tasty lunches. The stalls offer global flavors, from fresh produce to gourmet treats. Amid the hustle, it's a quick escape for an authentic lunch. Marché Saint-Quentin embodies the essence of Paris, a go-to for those craving a flavorful midday break.

Marché aux puces de Saint-Ouen

Not a food market, but a vintage one—it feels more like a small town filled with vintage stores. You’ll find everything from clothes to doorbells, vintage doors, sofas, and so much more. It’s the perfect place to explore a different side of Paris.

Attractions you should do:

Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre
@AnywhereWithHanna
This place holds something so special for me, and it’s one of the few touristy spots I’ve visited many times—and will keep coming back to. Not only is the basilica absolutely beautiful, but the view of Paris from there is breathtaking

Musée de l'Orangerie
@AnywhereWithHanna
This museum, although close to the Louvre, is never that busy and holds some of the most beautiful paintings by Monet. Not only does it stay relatively quiet, but it’s also easy to see everything in about an hour—maybe a bit more if you take your time.

Bercy Beaucoup

Amazing to go and have some drinks on a sunny day, it has an alternative vibe and nice to go out of the traditional days in Paris.

Aux Folies
@AnywhereWithHanna
More local than local—order a Pastis or just une pinte and a slice of pizza, which comes in a box right to your table. It’s a laid-back spot where, no matter the weather, Parisians will be out on the terrace, smoking their cigarettes and enjoying the vibe.

O P'ti Paris
@AnywhereWithHanna
My favorite place to go on a Friday at the end of a workday—buy a bottle of wine or a beer and enjoy the time with friends. You’ll end up discussing how busy the subway was a few days ago, which restaurant everyone should try, or which French person treated you poorly because you didn’t pronounce a word correctly.

Arpège
@AnywhereWithHanna
A 3-star Michelin restaurant for years, Alain Passard's restaurant was originally famous for its incredible meat. But a few years ago, he took a leap and changed his concept, making vegetables the star of his dishes. Despite this shift, he kept his Michelin stars. An extra bit of info: he has 4 gardens across France to ensure the best products sourced from the right areas.
