You can get a decent aperitivo pretty much anywhere, which is fantastic. This list is of places that either serve well-mixed cocktails beyond your standard spritz, or have an extremely remarkable aperitivo experience.

I know, I know, sacrilege. But sometimes a lady needs a little taste of something from outside the peninsula. Bonus points for HEAT!

This series comprises my curated list of recommendations for visitors to Torino who are only here for a single day and want to see the as much of the highlights of the city as possible rather than spend time actually inside the museums or historic sights. I also recommend this as the first day of a more comprehensive three day itinerary.

This is my recommendation for if you have three full days in Turin and want to walk away feeling like you have had a diverse, expansive visit! Day 2 takes you out of the city to see it all from the heights of Superga followed by a hike down into the adorable town of San Mauro Torinese, where you can freshen up with a coffee, gelato, or aperitivo if it’s already later in the day! Finish by taking the bus back into the city and taking a walk in the gorgeous Parco Valentino near the river.

For your last day in the city, I highly recommend the Egypt museum. I know, I know— it feels strange to go to a museum about Egypt in Italy! But it is a phenomenal collection and a well designed museum. It’s also close to the OG gelateria of Torino as well as some of the beautiful arcades.
