Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, covering an area of approximately 25,711 square kilometers. We were there for 6 days. Given the island’s size, six days aren’t sufficient to cover all the major sites, but during my research and planning, I concentrated on Palermo, Catania, and nearby attractions. Check out the Christkindlmarkets (that's what the Germans call their Christmas markets) in Marienplatz and the Tollwood Winter Festival. You'll find loads of cool crafts, delicious food, and, of course, some yummy Glühwein (that's mulled wine). Don't forget to admire the beautiful Christmas tree in Marienplatz and the adorable Ice Magic ice-skating rink! 2.
