Montenegro is a picturesque hidden gem. The Bay of Kotor, just off the Adriatic Sea, is surrounded by beautiful mountains with historic towns dotted along the coastline. Exploring The Bay of Kotor and towns along the Adriatic Coast will give you the fullest Montenegrin experience.
We heard Montenegro was a great place to sit out on a tourist visa from the Schengen Region, but didn't know what to expect. We took the leap, booked a 2.5 month trip, and found ourselves enchanted by the country. From tranquil charm to picturesque old towns, sun-kissed beaches, and majestic mountains, Montenegro has all the ingredients for an idyllic getaway—it exceeded our wildest dreams.
In this extensive, jam-packed guide we cover:
🚘 Logistical travel information
🗺️ 3 towns to visit
🗓️ Sample routing (how many days to spend in each place)
⏱️ The best times to visit
💬 Basic cultural information (language, currency, etc.)
🛏️ Where to stay
🤓 Historical information
🏰 Must-see sights & things to do
🍲 Dining recommendations
☕️ Coffee shops
🍻 Where to grab a drink
+ 3 ideas for day trips!
It's useful for all travelers, whether you're planning to visit Montenegro for a few nights or an extended period!
🌱 We found Montenegro to be moderately vegan/vegetarian friendly.
🐾 Montenegro is very dog-friendly. In this guide, we share more information about requirements for entry to Montenegro with a canine, as well as pet-friendly places to make your trip a paw-some success!
🏳️🌈 Montenegro is moderately LGBTQ+ friendly. It is more progressive than other countries in the region, but we did not see any signs of visible LGBTQ+ presence, such as pride flags, gay bars, or open displays of affection. More on this in the guide.
‼️ If you're looking for more detailed information regarding places to spend time outside the Schengen Region or long-term travel to Montenegro, feel free to reach out or set up a consultation call.

As a proud same-sex couple, we make a point of seeking out LGBTQ+ sites and establishments as part of our travels. We know that finding such places can sometimes be hard so we wanted to make this guide to ensure that you’d have a gay (as in happy, but also as in gay) day in the Big Apple. We know there’s places on here even New York City queers don’t readily know about.
If you’re also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you know that we often have to seek out our own history rather than count on it being taught to us. This guide isn’t limited to just sightseeing and eating or drinking – it’s also a LGBTQ+ history walking tour. If you’re an LGBTQ+ individual or ally living or visiting the Greenwich Village area of NYC, this is a great way to start patronizing LGBTQ+ owned businesses and learn from the city’s history. We wish we had something like this to follow years ago!
Here’s what you’ll find inside:
🏳️🌈 4 Historical Sites 🏳️⚧️
🌈 3 Memorials
📙 4 Art/ Resources / Shopping
🤤 3 LGBTQ+ Owned Food Spots
🍸 6 LGBTQ+ bars and clubs
🗺️ An interactive map of all locations
This guide also contains a living map, so your unlocked guide will be updated as we continue to add more locations!

A collection of popular and lesser-known places in Buenos Aires to explore, eat, drink, photograph, co-work, find community, and so much more! 🇦🇷 Nearly all of these I have been to myself, the remaining others I have been recommended repeatedly, but haven’t yet had the chance to visit. Even so, I've included everything here so you won't miss out!
Inside, you’ll find 150+ unique recommendations sorted and subcategorized among the following sections: Sightseeing, Museums & Art Galleries, Outdoor Spaces, Day Trips, Cafés & Bakeries, Restaurants & Food, Nightlife, LGBTQ+, Shopping, Street Photography, and Bonus (rotating events & more!)
As a bilingual, queer, and solo female traveler having spent 6+ months in Buenos Aires, this list is my treasured resource to daily life and tourism in the city with an emphasis on cultural immersion. I’ve included a wide array of free activities, affordable options, and a few handpicked higher-end experiences for passerby travelers and nomads alike.
Buenos Aires is massive and has lots to offer, but is also home to hidden beauty and unique gems waiting to be discovered. I recommend you explore at your own pace, strolling the beautiful neighborhoods and leaving room for serendipity while sorting through the places in this guide that resonate with you the most!

Between these two towns, you’ll find stunning beaches, delicious Mexican and international cuisine, breathtaking nature, unique wildlife, and friendly locals ready to welcome an international crowd. This area caters to all budgets—from backpackers counting every penny to entrepreneurs looking to indulge in a little luxury 💸
I’ve been living in Mazunte for over a year now, and I’ve put together this comprehensive guide to help you navigate an area rich in natural wonders and cultural experiences.

I traveled to Malta last summer and was BLOWN AWAY!! Just a quick flight from Italy, the nightlife is amaaaazing, and it's safe for female & LGBTQ travelers. This guide covers the BEST places to stay, from ridiculously affordable to super chic and my favorite option in between. If you need a little more convincing, here's a few reasons Malta ranks so high on my list of European destinations:
Gorgeous History: From ancient temples to the beautiful city of Valletta, the history evident in Malta is captivating.
Blues & Greens: Despite its small size, Malta offers grandeur with crystal-clear waters and lush green hills.
Liveliness: Enjoy a delicious meal with an even better view, then immerse yourself in the abundant nightlife. No matter your vibe, from a sophisticated cocktail to dancing the night away, Malta has somewhere for you to enjoy.

Welcome to Rome! I know this city can be overwhelming, so I'm here to help! I've divided this guide in various sections (neighbourhood names). These are my favorite places to eat and drink in the Eternal City
Please remember it is always best to make reservations while in Rome. If you show up to a restaurant and they are fully booked, they most likely send you away, there is no concept of waiting in line for the next table to free up in Rome (there are some exceptions like most pizza places)
Tipping in restaurants is not expected, but it is always very much appreciated! Please remember that tips can only be left in cash so make sure to always have some smaller pieces on hand (it is also preferred when paying for small things like a coffee or water bottle in a bar)

If you’re looking to explore a more local Tokyo neighbourhood with a bohemian feel, this guide is for you.
🔇🙉 This area has a residential, relaxed vibe. It is great for people who don't enjoy loud, downtown noises and flashy neon lights.
I’ve included over 40 places to explore in this trendy, quirky, and hipster neighbourhood just west of Shibuya. And I've also added a newly built onsen/ryokan hotel which is super rare to find in Tokyo.
