How about a trip to traditional Japan while staying in the heart of modern Tokyo?
This is a non-exhaustive list of what you can do in Asakusa; probably one of the greatest places in Tokyo! It is drenched in culture, offers amazing food, and despite being very touristy, it has one of the nicest ambiences of any places we've ever visited.
We don't believe a map listing each place suffices. So, we have come up with a list of recommendations with explanations for everything.

Discovering vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Japan can be very hard, right?
But in places like Asakusa and Ueno, where there's a growing number of foreign tourists, we're seeing more and more tasty spots popping up👀
I've been living in this area for about 10 years, trying out different restaurants and putting together a list of some delicious places😋

Though Japan is often known as a more expensive destination, I tackled the challenge of Tokyo on a shoestring budget. With so many amazing experiences, I had to balance my need to stay under budget and desire to see it all. These favorite affordable attractions will ensure an unforgettable experience in one of the world's most fascinating cities.

Throughout my various trips to Japan, I've spent alot of time coming back to Asakusa and in the general Taito City. The area houses alot of beautiful, famous temples as well as old districts with curio shops and street food stalls.
Sometimes, depending on who I am with, I can explore alot what is highlighted in this guide in a day. But, if you want to spend more time then feel free to go through alot of the items highlighted here in multiple days or trips!

Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is an eclectic city, an incredible mix of imperial palaces, sanctuaries, temples, but also cutting-edge neighborhoods full of huge skyscrapers and gigantic video.
Many of Tokyo's neighborhoods are like small cities, each with a different character: for example Shibuya is the district of young people, Akihabara of manga and electronics, Asakusa with its ancient temples and Ginza of luxury. Often you just need to get on the metro and get off at the next stop to see something completely different.
In this guide I don't just want to give you a list of things to see but I want to guide you to discover Tokyo through its neighborhoods.
By following an itinerary that is too precise you risk seeing the main attractions so quickly that you pass from one neighborhood to another without savoring the magic of the neighborhood itself. As everyone often says: "You either love Tokyo or you hate it" and
there are no truer words than these.
Unfortunately, Tokyo is a huge metropolis and at first glance it could give you a headache or even stun you!
In this guide you will find everything you need to best organize your trip to discover the greater Tokyo..
Inside you will find:
🗓️Best Time to visit
🚊Transportations
🏨 Where to stay
🏛️What to visit
☕️cafés
🍽️restaurants
🍹cocktail bar and nightlife
🎭activities
✨unusual places
📌1,3 and 6 day itineraries.
🎒excursions around Tokyo.
And lots of other information and advice that will help you better plan your stay...
