Results for Apulia, Italy
Italy is where I was born and where I live.
From the Alps to the coast of Sicily, I had the opportunity to travel and discover more about my country.
I was born in Galatina, in Lecce province and the city of pasticciotto (a famous local pastry), but I have always been living in Latina, a city south of Rome.
During these years I have been visiting a lot of place all around the Booth and I am ready to share my knowledge with you, so that you can have the best experience without stressing too much about planning and looking what to do.
This page is a working in progress, as I will regularly update it with more and more guides, so make sure to save it in order to be kept informed.
If you want a more customised itinerary or recommendations for you next Italian adventure, just click on my face above and choose what most suits you.
I am grateful for any feedback you may have and if share my guides it with your loved ones.

Everyone knows how good the food is in Italy. Each region has its own typical dishes, all different and with a great history behind them. But now I'm talking about Puglia. Commonly referred to as the "heel" of Italy, the region of Puglia is probably the most stunning landscape in the country. Just think: hundreds of kilometers of Mediterranean coastline, groves upon groves of ancient olive trees, and whitewashed towns carved into the hills. It's also home to some of the most incredible seafood, pasta, and wine in the world, and the only thing better than the food of the region is the people who prepare it. Food in Puglia is not just "the dish" but a moment of conviviality, relaxation, happiness. Each dish has very specific origins that sometimes go back far. Come with me on this culinary journey where I will tell you about the food culture of my country!

This is a living guide to the very best places to eat and drink in Apulia&Matera. As I travel back to Puglia - which I do regularly - I will continue to update this list. If you purchase today, you will receive all future updates.
Perfect for a first-timer, or someone who wants to go deeper. Recommendations cover major cities, like Bari, but also off-the-beaten-track options in the countryside that are destinations in their own right. Every place has been verified by me and visited multiple times. Tips for each restaurant include dishes to order and background about the place. I've even included some personal anecdotes to give extra color to each destination!
Fun Fact: Last year I was featured on Delicious Destinations with Chef Andrew Zimmern as his personal guide to Puglia. Videos from our adventure included in this guide.
