As a former magazine editor, current freelance writer, and lifelong wanderluster, it is my job and passion to find and share incredible places, people, and things. A sweet small town in Sonoma County, Healdsburg is my happy place - so much so that I started a company to celebrate everything about it: @when.in.wine.country. Check out my favorite places to eat, drink, stay, and play in Wine Country - all kiddo friendly (including wineries)!

Spending only a weekend in Paris with your kids? AWESOME! Get ready for some epic fun, delicious food, and some nice down time, too.
A big tip for your weekend Parisian trip: don't pack too much into your days. It’s easy to want to see and do alllllll the things, but it’s just not possible in a short amount of time, especially with little ones.
So here’s my best advice: pick two or three must-sees “high attraction” things to do in Paris with your kids for your whole weekend and then go from there. That’s it; don’t overdo it.
Then, pick one or two of those to see/do per day. Anything else you have time for will be a cherry on top.

Paso Robles is a lesser known wine region in California that can give Napa a run for it’s money. The downtown area has an amazing little park surrounded by additional tasting rooms and delicious restaurants and the wineries have reasonably priced tastings compared to Napa and a reservation isn’t necessarily required depending on the time of the year. Situated only a few hours away from San Francisco, Los Angeles and 6 hours from San Diego, it is well worth the trip!

Welcome to Venice, the enchanting city of canals, gondolas, and captivating history! Despite its reputation for crowds and expenses, this useful guide will help budget-conscious parents and families experience the best of Venice without breaking the bank. We are a full time travel family so there was no room for an extravagant itinerary. Here is how we made this destination work for a family of four travelling on a budget.
With a mix of popular attractions, off-the-beaten-path gems, and kid-friendly activities, Venice can be an unforgettable adventure for all.
We visited Venice after a two week campervan trip around northern Italy and it was a great way to end our trip in this iconic city.

This is the trip my family of 4 (including 10 & 12 year old kids) took this past summer. The children had been to Europe before at 4 & 6 and the oldest had also been as a toddler. Both parents have been multiple times.
We enjoy fast paced travel but generally prefer to go to smaller cities or towns. We trained between Zurich-Paris, Paris-Brussels, and Edinburgh-London. We flew from Brussels-London. We rented 4 different cars and drove everywhere else.

So, you're all set to explore the magical city of Siem Reap, where ancient temples reign supreme and history whispers secrets from every corner. Let’s be honest, this is the reason we head to Siem Reap… Angkor Wat. It really is a breathtaking temple, one of the most iconic and well-preserved archaeological sites in the world. But how much do our kids care about this? Not so much.
But luckily Siem Reap is a bit of a dark horse and has many things to offer families hoping for more than temples, if you know where to look!
While the majestic temples are the main attraction, Siem Reap also boasts lively markets, cultural shows, and a buzzing nightlife.
The Old Market and Night Market are bustling with vendors selling local crafts, souvenirs, and mouthwatering street food – a perfect place for some retail therapy and gastronomic adventures.
After a month in Siem Reap, here are our best bits for you to create your unique itinerary.
