Day 1

Head to St. Mark's Square, home to the iconic St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. While you may need to pay to enter the basilica, you can still admire its stunning architecture and experience the vibrant atmosphere of the square.
While in St. Mark's Square, you can buy a small bag of birdseed and let the kids have fun feeding the pigeons. This simple activity is a hit with children
3. Take a Glimpse of Venice's Jewish Ghetto:
The Jewish Ghetto is one of the world's oldest and a fascinating place to explore. Learn about its history, visit historic synagogues, and experience a unique part of Venice's heritage.Late Afternoon
4. Rialto Market: Stroll through the bustling Rialto Market, where local merchants offer fresh seafood and vibrant produce. Enjoy the lively ambiance and let your kids indulge in some delicious treats.
This may be a good time for an authentic Italian experience by indulging in gelato tasting. There are numerous gelaterias in Venice, and you can easily find budget-friendly options. We loved Suso Gelato, but to be honest they are all delicious.
Day 2
Libreria Acqua Alta:
For a unique and enchanting experience, visit the famous Libreria Acqua Alta, one of the most extraordinary bookshops in the world. This quirky bookstore is located near the Castello neighborhood and is a true treasure trove for book lovers of all ages. Discover books stacked in gondolas, bathtubs, and even a full-sized boat, creating a whimsical atmosphere that will captivate your children's imaginations.

Visit the Gallerie dell'Accademia:
Explore the Gallerie dell'Accademia, dedicated to Italian art from the 13th to the 18th century. This museum offers a chance to see works by renowned artists and is often less crowded than other popular attractions.

BONUS: Add the Islands of the Venetian Lagoon if you have time
