Unfortunately, instability and war makes travel to some countries like Iraq and Syria impossible and to others like Lebanon and Israel/Palestine challenging. I had the amazing opportunity to spend three months living in Amman and exploring all around the country. While Jordan may not be quite as culturally rich as its neighbors, there are a lot of amazing sights to explore. Petra's ancient facades speaks for themselves. The sandy dunes and alien-like rock formations of Wadi Rum is (literally) the movie image of Mars. The Dead Sea is a buoyant and beautiful place. And this only cracks the surface. 7 days driving around the picturesque state of Arizona? Yes please! This itinerary will take you to three National Parks (Saguaro, Petrified and Grand Canyon) as well as Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe bend. The accommodations for this trip are as luxury for each area as we found and include at least one top food spot in each location also. The trip is aimed at a balance of outdoors and luxury. We wanted to be pampered after so much hiking and outdoor activities! Because we road tripped we chose to bring our cooler. We stopped at some local grocery stores and picked up snacks for the road and light meal options. We didn't eat out 3 meals each day and sometimes we just wanted to be spontaneous and ask our tour guide where to eat next. The trip is roughly 7 days but you can stay longer or shorter in each place if you choose.

The obsession with small town Mexico continues. Oaxaca is a mid-sized city in Mexico’s most southern state by the same name. There is no beach here. A quick long weekend get-away for two adults. We did a one-day activity outside of the city to the petrified waterfalls, and the rest we hung out in the city and explored. Walking tour is always helpful! This itinerary has a high end hotel with a private cenote and private hot-tub. Very luxe.
