I have visited more than 40 countries in my 28 years and I have now been travelling full-time for the past 2 years, and plan to continue forever! Hi, I am Jiun-Wei from Tainan, Taiwan. I have been living in the UK for around a year. Over the past year, I have traveled to 19 countries on the European continent with a backpack. Overall, I have visited nearly 35 countries around the world since I was a child. Old towns, atmosphere, local food in the alleyways, architecture, etc., always bring me inexplicable peace. While traveling, I also carry on my job to find a balance between my life and career. Especially working in a variety of places can give me more inspiration and sparks. Not only did I earn a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Culture in Taiwan, but I have just graduated with a Master's degree in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University. Meanwhile, I obtained the status of tour guide and tour leader. During the period of schooling, it fostered my deep interest in culture and history. Moreover, exploring and tasting delicious food worldwide is one of my interests. Hence, the itineraries and the advice I arrange and make for customers are planned around slow-based and historically significant sights and cuisine to provide an enjoyable but alternative travel experience in such a fast-paced society. I have a deeper understanding that each country has unique characteristics and culture after traveling to a number of countries. For instance, the most stunning scenery I have seen is in Iceland; the most mysterious country is Armenia; the place with unexpected scenery is Malta; the most impressive is Jordan, while the most friendly country is Taiwan. Hence, all of memories I gained makes me want to digitize the travel experience and share them more specifically. I specialise in Scottish history, film tourism (Harry Potter and Outlander) and the dark side of the witchcraft hunts in Edinburgh. I reside in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the UK - Leith. Which is famed for it's indie shops, coffee and street art. When I am not guiding around bonnie Scotland I like to travel. I have been lucky enough to travel to over 55 different countries. Usually now with my husband, but on occasion, but have been partial to a solo adventure also. I enjoy exploring bustling cities, enjoying the local food and finding unique places to eat. As a small business owner, I like to find independent places to try out. To me travel is the best education you can give yourself. When I am exploring a new destination I will delve it to the culture and history of that location, and I like to find off the beaten track sights. It is hard to define my favourite country, as I feel many places are special to me. As a keen photographer, the vivid colours of India was incredible. Alongside the vast landscapes of Iceland, where last year (2023) I was fortunate enough to elope there. My guides will be varied, my Scottish guides will be through the lens of a local. Hi there, welcome to my page! Nearly 10 years ago, I packed up all of my belongings and moved across the US from my childhood home in Massachusetts to Los Angeles. I had no job, and no plan, but just enough ambition to try something new that got me out of my comfort zone. It wasn't long after arriving in Los Angeles that I discovered my passion for traveling, adventure, and being outdoors. I've been exploring non-stop ever since and have been lucky enough to experience 7 countries, 25 states, and 15 National Parks. I'm an expert in west coast travel, having explored much of California, Arizona, and Utah. I'm a hiker, camper, and love to explore off the beaten path, which you'll see reflected in all of my guides and itineraries. Because of my full-time job and limited PTO, I plan my travel ambitiously, often times driving or flying somewhere on a Friday after work for a weekend. I try to fit in seeing as much of a destination as I possibly can on my trips (even if that means sacrificing some sleep!).
