This is a simple, flexible, 3-day itinerary for a budget traveler. It also includes a list of places to stay, both hostels and hotels, that are affordable but high-quality. Make sure to check the detailed descriptions for each place. Also, be sure to read all hostel/hotel descriptions to make sure you book exactly what you're looking for!
This guide is organized as having at least one thing from each of the following categories for each day: culture/history/art, outdoors, & food/drink/nightlife. For museums, I try to include about how long to plan. This guide is organized by day, but not necessarily time. The activities included in each day should fill your time but not leave you feeling rushed. Feel free to mix the order of things as it works for you.
Please be aware that a few of these places overlap with my paid guide "Art, Culture, History: A Collection of Must-Dos in Berlin". However, some of my favorite spots didn't fit in this itinerary but they are available there. Therefore, if you'd like to buy that guide for some extra ideas, enjoy 15% off with code BERLIN15!
To make sure you have the BEST possible experience in Berlin and other parts of Europe, I offer personalized travel services such as consultation calls, itineraries, and curated lists. Check out my travel shop to learn more and feel free to email me at autumnmarietravels@gmail.com!

Oahu. Home of white sand beaches, amazing hikes, epic surfing, the historic Pearl Harbor memorial, and a. lot. of. traffic. It’s the most visited island as well as the most populous which does lead to more crowds and traffic than you will see on the other Hawaiian islands.
BUT, don’t let this deter you from visiting. It’s busy for a reason. There are so many fun things to do and see that a vacation to Oahu will soon be one of your favorites. This guide will show you how to spend ONE weekend on Oahu. In my (slightly biased) opinion it’s the best 3-day Oahu itinerary for adventure lovers.

Explore Lyon's artisanal boulangeries, where the essence of baking is an art form. These locally-owned gems offer a genuine treat, embodying dedication to quality ingredients and the craft of baking. In Lyon, discernment is key, as even within this city, not all loaves are created equal. From classic baguettes and rustic cuts to unique rye and seeded options, this guide unveils the diversity of Lyon's bread scene. Whether you lean towards organic, biodynamic, or conventional choices, Lyon's boulangeries cater to every palate. And when it comes to pastries, each bakery has its own specialty, from croissants and pain au chocolat to canelé.
So, if you're like me—someone who relishes quality engages in meticulous research (the quality control has been done), and finds joy in exploring Lyon's boulangeries—this guide is your perfect companion.

A Weekend in a Uruguayan coastal town
Colonia del Sacramento is one of the most beautiful, historic, and pleasantly surprising cities in the region. It is known for its unique colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and stunning views of the Rio de la Plata. I was surprised to find that Colonia was founded by Portuguese settlers in the late 1600's, and is considered to be the oldest city in Uruguay. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a city full of charm and history, known for its picturesque colonial architecture, with influences from Portuguese, Spanish, and Brazilian.
I spent 40 hours in Colonia del Sacramento and want to give you the best insights for what to do in a day trip or a weekend in this Uruguayan coastal town.
I'll offer tips on both what to do and where to eat, as well as general tips for spending time in Uruguay.

Nolita is yet another NYC acronym, referring to the area that is north of little italy. This is arguably one of the hippest neighborhoods in NYC. It is smack dab in the center of downtown and borders Soho, Noho, LES, and the East Village.
The restaurants here serve up extremely high quality/delicious food without being stuffy establishments. The wait times are sometimes long to eat in Nolita, but I've included some tips and tricks that should ensure you have the best dining experience possible.
Don't have a reservation, no problem - this guide is for you! My guide includes all day cafes, fast grab n' go options, and some phenomenal sit down restaurants spanning cuisines from italian, australian, thai, cuban, mexican, and a handful of different mediterranean cusines. Great for budgets ranging from $-$$$.
Purchase of the guide includes an amazing interactive map that captures all these specifics and more!

Oh Porto 🤍
The brilliant weather, stunning architecture and azulejo tiles, vibrant colours, amazing food, beautiful views…it’s all so good. I just loved this city and can’t wait to visit again soon. Especially for more port and pastel de natas 😍
These are some spots and activities that I'd recommend - and others I ran out of time to try but am so keen to do one day!

Casablanca gets a really bad rap. The vibrant, messy, energetic, and hectic economic hub of Morocco, most visitors begin their trip in the city. In their zeal to get Moroccan tajines, tiles, and mint tea, they flock to places in the Medina and get an underwhelming and negative view of the city.
Casablanca is not Marrakesh, Fez, or even Tangier. It has a treasure trove of activities, especially if you've been to some of the historic cities and are looking for a change of scenery. So if you're looking for a great experience taking in the sights of modern Morocco, here I present my perfect day in Casablanca.
