You know the exercise of planning what to visit in a city by searching online "what to do in XXXX" and opening 10 tabs in an attempt not to let anything escape? And then not fully understanding what were the most relevant things for your kind of traveller? Well, I've been there multiple times!!! That's why I though that, as a local in Lisboa who has explored everything this city has to offer, I can make things easy for someone planning to visit it by creating a single source of information with all that. 86 places split into categories to make navigation and priorization easy: 1. Lisboa-exclusive places you must go to (3 tiers according to relevance) 2. Places around Lisboa you should visit (includes Sintra, Almada and Mafra) 3. Hidden gems (again 3 tiers according to relevance) 4. Old trams / Elevators / Funiculairs (you can be a fan and go around all of them or simply pick the best ones, which I refer) 5. Viewpoints (again, either go to all of them or just my top picks) 6. Things you can do around the world and here are nice as well On top of that you've got the ultimate Portuguese food checklist with 45 things you shoult try and whithout which your trip will be incomplete (90% of them can be found in Lisboa) My main objective with this guide is not to go into detail about each of these attractions but rather to categorize and give some hints about it so you decide whether to put it on your plan or not. If it is a monument or museum requiring a deep explanation of the hitory around it, you'll find it there. In case you have any question while planning your trip, we can also make a quick call for free ;) I wish you enjoy this city as much as I do and please do send me a message with feedback on this guide, as I use that to improve on it.

Needing some much needed quiet time or relaxation? Or do you need to forget your worries and connect to your adventurous side? You may NEED to travel just to get away. Just to feel free from this everyday craze called life. Here are some travel suggestions I like to dive into when I really want to connect on a holistic level. This guide focuses on one of the most important things we as humans truly need in life, RELAXTION- Whether you have a tough job that is physically demanding or mentally stressful at times OR maybe you've been dealing with other social or environmental discomforts that have overwhelmed you. There could be a million reasons you are in a place of stress or exhaustion. However, you DO have the option to take a break and get away! Yes! Because you absolutely deserve some peace and relaxation! So where do you go? *SUGGESTION TRIP: A body of water! The ocean is a great place to start however studies show that just being near any flowing water can reduce cortisol levels within 30 seconds of arrival. So this doesn't have to be a fancy trip to Hawaii this can be any river, lake, ocean that is near you. Here are some great U.S. trip ideas. My beach trip suggestion- CANNON BEACH, OREGON. Not only are the towns surrounding quaint and adorable, the beach Itself has beautiful giant rock structures and plenty of walking beach space to unwind. Slow down and take some deep breaths while sitting in the sand listening to the waves. Im telling it won't disappoint! -Check out my Cannon beach hotel recommendations below! My lake suggestion- LAKE TAHOE, CALIFORNIA. Yes this can be quite a busy and touristy area, however the hiking around the lake is very peaceful and quiet and there are always places to get away from the crowds for some quiet time. The water can be very clear and blue with beautiful surrounding trees and forrest environment. This is a great place to walk off some stress and then spend some time by the clear waters to reflect. -South Lake Tahoe hotel recommendations below! My river suggestion- BIG THOMPSON RIVER, COLORADO. Running through beautiful Estes Park, the drive itself is absolutely breath taking. There are a ton of places just to pull off the road and be right on the river or to hike around. You may like to fish, hike or just sit and listen to the sound of the beautiful flowing river. The mountains surrounding will give you a great sense of peace and the serene river will have you relaxed within minutes. -Hotel recommendations near Big Thompson river below! Wherever you find yourself in nature, make sure to let go of your stressful thoughts from your everyday world and stop to be present within the beauty around you. Take some deep breaths and let your soul lead the way. Know that as stressful as life can be there is always natural beauty all around you and you always deserve a break... If you feel like sharing, email me and let me know if you make it to any of these beautiful destinations recommended. Id love to hear any positive experiences you had:)

Colombo might seem like just another chaotic city, but trust me, it's got way more to offer than just traffic jams and busy streets. For the backpacker or solo traveler, Colombo is a treasure hunt with some seriously cool finds. First off, ditch the idea that the streets are busy. They’re alive! And let me tell you that weekends aren't busy at all!! Wandering around, you’ll stumble upon colorful markets, like Pettah, where you can get lost in a maze of spices, trinkets, and random bargains. It's chaotic, but in the best way possible, perfect for snapping some gritty, authentic travel photos. If you’re into history, Colombo's got you covered. Check out the colonial vibes at Independence Square or the old Dutch Hospital, now buzzing with cafes and shops. And don’t miss Gangaramaya Temple, it's a mashup of all things Buddhist with a side of quirkiness. When you need to catch your breath, hit up Galle Face Green. Grab some street food (isso wade is a must-try), find a spot on the grass, and watch the sunset over the ocean. It’s one of those moments that makes all the hustle worth it. Oh maybe hope on a train to watch the sunset while moving. The best part? Colombo’s a city where you can easily blend in, do your own thing, and still find surprises around every corner. So yeah, it’s worth a stop but it could also be your least favorite city!!? Anyhoo, add these spots to your Google Map, and you’re set for an awesome urban exploration! This itinerary is completely free for you and if you feel my work has made your journey special, you’re welcome to leave a tip, but no pressure at all!
