I moved to Madrid, Spain in summer 2021 from San Francisco, California. I came to Spain for the first time in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the place. I quickly decided to relocate here permanently. I love showing friends around new places that seem to be cropping up every day here. In my first 9 months here, I had 15 friends visit me from abroad (mostly the US) and afterwards, in the interest of efficiency, I wrote a 5-page informal Google Doc to share amongst my friends. This quickly morphed into a more comprehensive guide that I've posted on Thatch. I continue showing friends, family, and friend of friends around Madrid. I've hosted upwards of 30 visitors now including friends with babies, vegetarians, and quick day trippers.

I believe there is a difference in a trip and a vacation, so it’s most important to me for the client to know which they would prefer. When I travel internationally I try to make the most of my time, so most of my guides will be more “trip” based. This includes traveling to different parts of a country and making the most of the time to see and experience new things.
