As a former magazine editor, current freelance writer, and lifelong wanderluster, it is my job and passion to find and share incredible places, people, and things. A sweet small town in Sonoma County, Healdsburg is my happy place - so much so that I started a company to celebrate everything about it: @when.in.wine.country. Check out my favorite (kind of) fancy places to eat, drink, stay, and play in Wine Country.

Cork, also known as ‘the rebel city’ from their past support of Warbeck, is one of Ireland’s main tourist destinations, behind Dublin, of course. However, if you’re looking for something a bit closer to that true Irish feeling and something that’s a bit nicer to your bank account, Cork is it.

The best towns to visit when you want to escape NYC for the day—because we’ve all been there.
In 2022, I decided to move to the Hudson Valley for a year! I rented a house around Cold Spring and I’ve gotten to explore so many little towns. The great part is there’s so many things to do just 1-1.5 hours from Grand Central Terminal. Before this, I lived in Brooklyn for 5 years and loved to take day trips and weekend trips to the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Sometimes you just need to get out of the city!
In this guide, you’ll see 3 towns you can take a day trip to, how to get to them, and fun things to do in each of them. They’re all right off MetroNorth stations and have Main Streets that are walkable, so there’s no need to have a car!

Calling all book lovers and NYC lovers!
Manhattan has so much to offer for the literary fanatic. Of course, there’s so much literary history here (more to come on that in a future guide!), but we also have fantastic and old bookstores. I've been fortunate to frequent them as I look for books on my TBR, support indie sellers, meet authors, and enjoy learning the history of the stores.
This guide includes 6 bookstores with different genre specialties, histories, architecture and events like book signings. Scroll down and save this map so you can check them out next time you’re in Manhattan 📖
