Hi, my name is Torie Wotton and I'm a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa. I'm currently working as a policy analyst but traveling is my true passion. I've been lucky enough to travel to 6 Canadian Provinces, 3 U.S. States and 5 additional countries. I'm always willing to try something once, which means I have a wide set of travel experiences such as completing a Via Ferrata in Quebec, hiking portions of the Sunshine Coast Trail in B.C. and relaxing on a beach in Mexico. That serendipitous encounter led to us moving to Germany, where we got permanent residency and lived for 7 years! 🚙My time in Europe was spent campervanning around Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, and Sweden, hiking and snowboarding extensively in the Alps, and visiting many of Europe's incredible rural areas and national parks. I recently moved to Vancouver, Canada, where I hope to stay for some time and plan EV road trips! I travel back to Alaska and Australia often. I have traveled for work the majority of my life, but always find time on each trip to find the best local spots. I've visited 49/50 states and lived in 8 states, not to mention the temporary ones I call home for weeks on the road with work. I love a good road trip with the windows down and amazing music while finding the best local coffee shops and hikes. Sometimes even the quickest trip to a nearby town is enough to satisfy the travel bug. I am a massive foodie and will always seek out the best meals to have in each city I visit. A good meal can tell a lot about the culture and the town that you are in and often is what you remember most when you leave. No trip is too big or too small to plan. I love all types of adventure and can't want to help you plan yours! In particular, I love getting the feel of a city, living how the locals live and finding unknown hidden food gems. My style of travel can be described as "slow" and "easy-going". I don't enjoy checking off attractions like a checklist and that it is a must to visit everything in a set location.
