The Amalfi Coast leaves its mark through the simplicity of everyday life against a stunning backdrop. It’s not just the cliffs or the sea that stand out, but the rhythm of the place—slow and deliberate, where even the smallest exchanges matter. There’s something about wandering through these towns, catching the scent of lemons or hearing the soft murmur of locals, that feels grounding. The true beauty of the Amalfi Coast isn’t just in what you see, but in how it quietly nudges you to appreciate life’s understated moments. It’s a place that lingers with you, not because it tries to impress, but because it just is 💙

The Philippines have long been South-east Asia’s pin-up island-hopping destination: around 7,641 tropical isles of coral reefs brimming with sea life, rolling rice paddies and huge cities. And while the big-hitting corners such as Palawan and Boracay are nobody’s secret anymore, venturing off the well-worn tourist route unveils lesser-known spots – uncrowded, wide open spaces that are yours for the taking. The country has been quieter than ever before, with much of the world under lockdown since 2020, but as it reopens, it's also unveiling new infrastructure and off-the-beaten-path destinations to uncover. With plenty of people looking for seclusion and privacy post-pandemic, these are the 10 most beautiful places in the Philippines where you can find just that.

Some time ago I happened to read a book about the parks of Salento, the land where I was born and raised and I discovered something that I have always known and that I would like all visitors who come here to know. There is a Salento known throughout the world, that of the fabulous beaches and the blue sea, frequented by tourists especially in the summer. And there is a hidden Salento, to be visited all year round: enchanting paths among numerous protected areas, nature and history, archaeological sites, art masterpieces, artisan workshops and ancient villages, food and wine tastings, rural worlds; places to discover on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, following ancient sheep tracks or sailing along the coast. A great variety of landscapes, both marine and terrestrial, with multicolored seabeds, spectacular caves, golden sand dunes, wetlands that become true paradises for birds. And again; junipers, Mediterranean scrub, garrigue and wild orchids, Aleppo pines, holm oaks, Vallonea oaks and centuries-old olive trees in a countryside dotted with dry stone walls, pajare and fortified farmhouses.
