A road trip of the south west of Ireland

The Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful coastal routes in the world. Spanning over 2,500 km, this magnificent route stretches from Donegal in the north to Cork in the south. In this guide I'll share a 7-day itinerary with some of my favourite spots from exploring this route over the last 6 years.

You can take a road trip around Ireland for as long as you want to but this is the way to do it in a week! This is just the Republic of Ireland, and does not include Northern Ireland. For that, I would add on a few days and go up to Belfast. I don't think you are doing Ireland justice if you only stay in Dublin, the coast and the small towns made the trip in my opinion!

The roadtrip from Dublin to the West Coast of Ireland is truly breathtaking. The rolling green hills, endless castles and free roaming wildlife make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
