Places to visit

Muckross Abbey
@allieheinen
A breathtaking abbey in ruins. Park in the parking lot right off of the road and take a short scenic walk to the ruins hidden in the trees.

Muckross House
@allieheinen
The historic house and gardens are a cool and impressive tour. There is also a farm that I highly recommend visiting. It offers a glimpse into the lives of the Irish in the 1930's-1940's. Don't forget to stop by the "petting zoo" to see the animals they raise on the farm!

A castle set on a beautiful lake. The OPW leads a great, informative tour of this restored castle!

Beautiful Spots

Torc Waterfall
@allieheinen
There is a parking lot off of N71 and it is a very short hike to the waterfall! Enjoy the carpet of green that covers all of the trees and rocks along the way!
