I spent two weeks around the area of Bariloche getting to know the area and trying to find the best of nature, and of course the best of the gastronomical scene!

This guide introduces 3 of the best hikes in Bariloche to you and how I've experienced them. A day-hike, an overnight-hike (can be done as day-hike too) and a 2-4 day hike. It provides detailed information on each hike such as hiking times, level of difficulty, details for overnight options on multi-day hikes, pictures (taken by me) so you get a better impression of the hikes and a detailed description of the different parts of the tracks.

When flying within the country from Buenos Aires, you can use the Newberry Aeroparque airport (AEP) inside the city rather than the international airport (EZE) which is about an hour outside. Money tips: Bring USD and exchange locally at the “blue rate” which is 2x the official rate. As of Dec 2022 credit cards (at least visa) are also charging at the blue rate, which makes travel way easier! If not, you can also send yourself money using the Western Union website which has a rate closer to the blue rate. The Remitly app is also a good option if you need to make a cash deposit for anything.
